In my opinion, take it for what it’s worth, is the sign of what happens when people of similar interest get together even digitally. We all have a common ground from which we can speak, bring our experiences and just plain ol’ natter on.
One thing that I have experienced with the cigar boards and the cycling boards that I would frequent, egos generally got checked at the login, I find that here as well.
Anyway, I’ll stop nattering and turn back to my curmudgeonly ways for the rest of my commute.

I definitely agree. I still feel like I'm a new member, but I have felt like I fit in since the day I joined. We have a great group of folks and I enjoy seeing new people fall right in to place.

Paddy, I agree!! We have a bunch of great people here on the Patch. Without a doubt the nicest and most pleasant people here on the Patch, compared to “ any “ other forum I’ve been part of prior. This is a great place to hang out when you have the time👍👍👍👍👍

I felt like I belonged the first time I posted here. Everyone made me feel welcome and I try to do the same for the folks just starting here also. Personally I am not sure how many more pat yourself on the back, sticky sweat sentiment, Briar Patch is heaven, etc. threads I can handle!!! I have gained 50lbs and am afraid of becoming diabetic, simply from reading these posts, within many threads under various headings, which occur over and over!!!😁
PS To the new folks in the forum welcome, we are happy to see you. Just remember, you can checkout anytime you like but you can never leave😁.

I noticed that! I've also realized that I've been paying attention to dates more often too. Nothing quite like getting happy about what you think is new news only to realize its 2 1/2 years old.... when your 3 pages deep into it. |
