I haven't started a thread in a while so here's one for discussion (I can't think of anything pipe-related at the minute).
So, what's your favourite chocolate?
For me, it's Cadbury Wispa...
For chocolate bars themselves Cadbury or Galaxy are the best (for me).
What's yours?

My wife...Was that TMI?😁
PS She is a very traditional Jamaican lady (left Jamaica when she was 6 now a US citizen), 11 years my junior, would not trade her for anything in the world!
PS A great mother to our two little girls...Ok back to the question at hand..

Pretty much all chocolate but white. It is NOT chocolate.
With that said, here in America our standard "big company distributors" are OK but then I had real imported chocolate from places like Europe and Australia. Our stuff is so waxy in comparison. Cadbury from Europe is heads and tails above Cadbury or any other chocolate in America. Tim Tams from Australia are way better than the ones distributed here on American shelves.
Its sad as we have such a history with chocolate for it to be so bad, at least in comparison. Luckily there are small shops making good stuff and despite how I may sound, I can still enjoy a simple chocolate bar. Its just best not eaten alongside something imported from Europe.

Endangered Species Chocolate - Strong and Velvety Dark Chocolate, 88% Coccoa. I normally eat 1/3 of a bar every morning with coffee. Only 3 grams of sugar per serving. It's plenty sweet, smooth and creamy. www.chocolatebar.com/Our local Kroger carries it.

When I worked at Caterpillar they called in a guy from Sweden to teach me EVERYTHING about the machine I was running, and I mean everything. It was a UVA inside grinder and by the time he left I could make that thing do whatever I wanted to. Anyway... he brought some chocolate sticks from Sweden that had some sort of liqueur in them, they were amazing. For the life of me I cant remember what the name of them, but it was the best chocolate I've ever ate. Even if I could find them, I couldnt eat them anymore...
These days its Cadbury or Dove.

Mmm, I would say my favorite chocolate is free chocolate! However, if I have to chose a specific brand would be Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.

When we were in Ireland and NI, I fell in love with Kinder Bars. So light and crispy. Perfect texture.

Aldi sells several brands of European chocolate and that's pretty much all we eat anymore. Cheap and better than American brands by a mile. Except for Dove and Ghirardelli. Those are great American brands, but too expensive.

When I needed a chocolate fix it came from a Baby Ruth, Almond Joy, Clark Bar, Butterfinger, or at Christmas a chocolate covered cherry. Once I had some type of chocolate drop that had a liquid Jack Daniels center. It had been made in Sweden and by far the best I’ve ever had. My diet forbids any type of sweets and candy, but if I ever lay my hands on a box of those Jack Daniels chocolates...

AJ Used to be my favorites...haven't had one in many years...now the wife likes her Godiva...white chocolate with raspberry filling. Can't take white chocolate, myself...but my likes don't matter much...I get it for her when I can find it...puts a smile on her face and that is all that matters.

I love white chocolate too. I wonder if your white chocolate is also a lot different than our white chocolate in the same way the milk chocolate differs?

I was brought up on See's. As a kid, my mother would visit a See's shop and was often given a piece by the old ladies working there. I order a box every few years.
Generally, I buy Ritter Sport Bars from Germany. Sold in some US stores. I prefer the dark chocolate with hazelnuts. The dark with Marzipan is also good but usually stale.
For making ganache for pasties, the best was Valrhona from France or so my head baker thought. I preferred a brand from Belgium and believe still they make the best.
