As the title says, we will be celebrating the International Pipe Smoking Day on Pipe Night at Big Sticks Fine Cigars this Wednesday. From 5-9 PM...all are welcome, and I believe there will be discounts for purchases.

Wish we had something like this here in Conn........... We started with three people meeting up, and it really has blossomed the last couple of years, we had 15 in attendance, with some missing from the pack...we had a great time, I will post pictures on this thread tonight... if you would like to start something in your neck of the woods, let me know... it doesn’t take any money to start... we have figured out what works

We have figured out what works. Yes, you need a Charlie. But, you can't have ours! We can let Charlie visit for awhile. Because we have Dan the Man.

I can only stay in Connecticut a maximum of two weeks... my brother in Woodstock resorts to slavery if you hang around too long... last time I was there I found out how much this woodchuck can chuck... split and stacked mountains of firewood.

Wonder what the Wife likes better . . . . attending a pipe club meeting or watching paint dry?

Super cool Charlie. I have four tins of Mac Baren Latakia Blend, can't believe they stopped making it. When there was a mega bulk sale back in 2015, I mixed 5 parts Mac Baren Va #1 with 2 parts C&D Lat just for kicks. I'll crack it when the real stuff is gone.

Mark, I offered Steve the price he paid for it... I could even throw a few pipe cleaners in to sweeten the deal!
I saw Per Jensen on Facebook open an old tin of McB twist.... 30 years old or so on Facebook... It ages really good... I am sure your Lat is heavenly.

Latakia Blend was pretty badly named as it is Virginia forward with Lat as only a condiment. It's one of my all time top five, hence my mad experiment for a homemade match.

AZ Pipe Club is very fortunate to have members dedicated to the art of pipe smoking, and also very fortunate to have a great host in Big Sticks of Mesa.

AZ Pipe Club is very fortunate to have members dedicated to the art of pipe smoking, and also very fortunate to have a great host in Big Sticks of Mesa. Yay, verily! I love to be around a bunch of well mannered gentlemen (and lady), and even everyone else who comes to the AZ pipe club. But, in all seriousness, the members are amazing and I love listening to the banter about tobacco, pipes, and life in general. I always learn a tremendous amount, even if my pallet isn't as sophisticated as others... someday I'll get there. And, the host and location also must be recognized. A knowledgable and accommodating owner of a lounge in AZ where we can actually smoke indoors (!) and have a beer if one is so inclined is just about as good as it gets. Now, if he'd just open up a motorcycle shop with a shooting range in the back, I'd move in permanently.

Billy Bob’s in Dallas has a barber chair for taking tequila shots before riding the bull... no reason that Paul can’t raise the bar to accommodate us.
