About a quarter of the way through this bowl of Dunhill Elizabethan Match in my trusty 1970s smooth three quarter bend Peterson System Standard 305 with a black vulcanite p-lip stem. My long time friend Greg Booker passed away today. We played a lot of baseball together when we were kids from little league to high school and American Legion ball. Greg was a good athlete: 3 sport star in high school, and he played sports at Elon College. Book spent part of eight seasons as a pitcher in the major leagues (Padres, Twins, and Giants), and spent many years as a scout and pitching coach for various teams. RIP. Wow, that's incredible. He's up there pitching with the old team now. My sincere condolences, Jim.

Spent the day going to the Rennaisance Pleasure Fair on comp tickets....had a great time, never realized that the place is so big with so many permanent structures right down the road in Gold Canyon. None of the frisky nonsense that takes place at so many public venues, so i was able to carry my .45 on my hip, and my 1890 Charles Maas Meer on my lip...got a lot of compliments on smoking Stokkebye Nougat. I tried to find a period specific pipe style...but the Rennaisance period is roughly 1300-1600...Sir Walter Raleigh wasn't born until 1552...so I slyly pulled a Marty McFly. I told the wife that next year we are headed to the saucy Maiden/ Craft Beer event where smokers are welcome...not kid friendly they tell me. That looks like fun! Too bad someone gets offended by your pipe smoking, and they get smoking banned. Yeah, I'm in a mood this morning.

Now smoking Watch City Simply Red in a 1984 three quarter bend medium brown Ascorti KS Business Dublin with a black acrylic stem. After your review, the Simply Red is never in stock. That you're actually enjoying it as part of your rotation, rather than just sampling and reviewing makes me want (and Cramptholomew) want it even more!

Arango Balkan Supreme is becoming the official tobacco of the patch As much as I'd love to try it, I have a few pounds on shelves that I can only smoke during the holidays now since I can't import it into Thailand. I'll ask my buddy at the shop if he can spare me a bowl.

Went down to the B&M earlier and had some Butera's Dark Stoved, some Crown Achievement, and a touch of John Bull. About to do the dishes, then probably have some Two Timer. I so envy you having a B&M nearby. My closest one is one hour and a half. And then I have to hunt fore parking. It's tremendous! I'm super happy about the place. I got a membership and have really been enjoying that.

That you're actually enjoying it as part of your rotation, rather than just sampling and reviewing makes me want (and Cramptholomew ) want it even more! What I really like about it is that it's not an strong red, and with several grades in the mix for balance, I think it's a better every day red blend than some others because it doesn't wear out its welcome like strong reds can during your day.
