Relaxing after a big, succulent cowboy steak and baked potato dinner with a big bowl of strawberries and pineapple for dessert. I'm half way through this bowl of year 2016 Stonehaven in a straight sandblasted pre-transition Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver band and military bit with a black ebonite tapered stem. Watching the Braves-Phillies game.

D&R Three Sails 75% and Maduro Cavendish 25% blended together since 11/18. I find whatever tobacco I blend with this D&R smokes great.
Pipe of choice : Aldo Velani smooth briar Octagonal pipe with a wide stem. This pipe has a stunning grainππ

The Country Squire's Figgy Pudding in an IMP full meer with an army mount watching an old Inner Sanctum movie with Lon Chaney, Jr., "Calling Dr. Death." Lonnie - who is completely and utterly blind - is staring right at me with the "get me some ham" look in his eyes.

Today: Squadron Leader in a Porsche Billiard. Shannon's Dream in a MM cob. Now: HU Zulu in an IDK poker. I have four tins of HU Zulu. One day, I am going to have to open one up. I just take comfort in knowing I have four in the cellar.

Cornell and Deihl Exclusive in a cob Pepesdad1 sent me. He was good enough send me a couple of cobs that he beautifully stained and lacquered. They look amazing. And of course they smoke great.
I would send pictures but then you would see me smoking in my batman tee shirt and grey sweatpants. Not a pretty sight. (Although that yellow on black batman logo coming to you out of the blue reeking fog is kind of cool, in a 15 year old kind of way.)
That Exclusive is a very special tobacco. I really love how it tastes, and, at least in my first few pipesful, it behaves really well. (Almost Carter Hall well.)

Another bowl of ABS in the Ashton Oldchurch "squashed tomato." Valerie's father passed away this evening (his name was also Martin) and we're glad he's no longer suffering, but... this kind of event always causes one to stop and consider their own mortality.
