Hello, I found this forum after doing a search on google for some pipe info. I have been smoking and collecting pipes just about 4 years now. My wife found some pipes hiding in my sock draw and promptly made an appointment for me to see my doctor. I was diagnosed with a severe case of PAD's, and my doctor told me there is no known cure for PAD's. His only advice to me was to take long walks, smoke your favorite tobaccos in your favorite pipes and to enjoy your life.   Besides having PAD's I tend to gravitate to the vintage pipes, makers and shapes. Although I do own quite a few modern pipes. As far as tobacco goes, I tend to smoke Latakia blends, but most recently I have had a growing appreciation for Virginia blends. I usually smoke 1-3 bowls a week during the Winter season and 3-6 bowls a week during the Spring - Fall seasons. Been smoking a pipe for 28 years here and Pad and TAD has finally been exhausted. At the point where my cellar overfloweth and I've had to get rid of many pipes due to lack of use. Big welcome from Kentucky!
