I'm fairly decent when it comes to identifying Dane freehands...but I've not figured this one out. Trouble is, the nomenclature is quite worn after years of use...and these are the best pics I was able to get... Besides the 'Hand made in Denmark' at the bottom, I know what some of you are thinking already...."Old Briar". Don't know if that's what it says, but it's a strong possibility. Also might be one really long word which ends in an "N"...that might be an N over to the right of the "R". There is also some kind of fancy font "N" over to the right, above the hard-to-read stamping. Assuming that was original to the pipe, I'm thinking N was the end of the word...which should mean all letters of that word were caps. Here's a side shot. The top is natural burl. Thanks for looking and guessing...

A 'CLO' at the front and a capital 'R' in the middle seems to be a name comprised of two words. The second word starting with 'R'. Beyond that I have no idea.

Looks like a sizable pipe, by the way. It'll look great once it's cleaned up.

Looks like a Bari Old Briar to me. Thanks Duane...and I'm inclined to agree. I actually had a Bari freehand...some of the styling was similar, including the panels of blast / smooth. Thanks!

It looks quite a bit like a Bari Matador. Still I have to admit looking at the stamping what has been stated appears to be correct.
