How many people know that Peter Stokkebye, Sutliff, and Newminster have many of the same blends. I became sure of this with aros, but it was not worth posting, as aros don't sell out. Whilst Glomming SP and noticing PS English Oriental Supreme was out of stock I kept looking. First, this blend is as good as many Esotericas. I am presently smoking Margate, which comes up a little short in comparison. I digress yet again. PS has the number 306 on this blend. Out of stock. Looking around for another one labeled English Orient, I find Newminster English Orient. NUMBER 306. I was sure what to expect, and when it arrived, I had my sublime tasting tobacco. It's a tad more expensive. There are several more in those three brands. Look for the numbers.
I would have normally figured this would be fairly well known, save one issue. PS EO Supreme has been out of stock for quite a while. Newminster is always there. Oh, English Luxus and English Luxury are the same. TOFTT and bought both.

And even in their own family things are the same. For example, Sutluff's Molto Dolce vs Creme Brulee.

Though it may be obvious to you, the point is there are plenty of the tobaccos (in stock) many want if they look. Sorry that you know so much I can't help you. Newminster EO should be selling as well as PS EOS if everyone was aware of this Signed, Short timer

Incest has been common place for many years with tobacco manufacturers. Iβm surprised there have been no β albino β blends createdπ

That's really interesting... to me, at least. Thanks @cosmicbobo.
Perhaps there actually are some blends the I could get in the UK, under a different name, that I otherwise thought impossible.

Smoking PS/Sutliff Champagne right now. The flavor is a cross between berries and honey-cream champagne. Bought both brands, so that, if nothing else, I could prove myself wrong and report it.

David.......NICE FACE π. Hope both you and your wife are doing well. Thanks, Ted. The Reticulans insisted on that look for the Pluked-Ngork Day Parade. I'm on the lead float.
Things here are day to day. She let Bully out of the house (onto the street) Saturday. Two hours later (thank God) his mug shot appeared on the Humane Society site. Had him back in a couple day.
MD is still tinkering with her meds on my reports of changes in her. She's getting good help, and every minute with her is a blessing.

Hopefully the doctor will be able to keep helping. You are blessed to be with each other, savor every second my friend. Install a hook and eye lock on the top area of ALL doors that lead outdoors. Where your wife canβt reach. Super happy your were able to get Bully back, you donβt want to go through that again!!!

I did know that. Did you know that Sutliff manufactures tobacco for many companies including Mac Baren and P&C?

Barbados Plantation = Queen Anne's Revenge is another.
@legen Lover, there's been a lot of speculation - and outright claims - that Esoterica and Smokers Haven blends are all rebrandings of existing Germain's blends.

Didn't know that, which is another reason I started this thread. The Brethren are always helpful.

I was wondering that. I posted a pic a few weeks ago where there was someone standing in front of golden bags, which were Germain's, but they looked a lot like estorica blends. Thanks @chico.

What we also find, within the pipe community, are those who swear a blend(s) has a topping(s), even after a trusted blender(s) states this is categorically false. Meaning conspiracy theories can run rampant through the fields and lore of tobacco's wonderful minions!!π

Despite people disagreeing with me on the topic, I've long believed that there were a lot of very similar blends out there with just enough differences to prevent the claims of copying.
That being said, it's been done in the food and beverage industries for a hundred years or so. Look at all the different brand names of vanilla ice cream for example.

Nearly every commercial tobacco is cased and Latakia is artificially flavored, so that makes all tobaccos aromatic.π

having toured the Sutliff Factory, I can tell you that Newminster is handled and shipped from their factory. One of the employees bemoaned the day he comes in and they are doing the Blackberry Brandy. It can be smelled for miles.... lol

Thread wasn't such a big duh after all. Newminster is now sold out for the first time since I've been tracking some sales of tobaccos

I wonder if it's because so many others are sold out as well?
I've only smoked 2 Newminster Blends, both were excellent. In my opinion, the Navy Flake just needs some time on it.

It is in stock at SP and ranks at #91 on the bulk sales chart.
