I’ll be seeing the final version of the movie on the big screen this coming Thursday. The film makers have arranged for a free showing at a Celebration Cinema in Grand Rapids, MI. This is to thank the local pipe community, which the film makers are part of, for their support while the film was being made. Lee Von Erck will be attending and there’s a Q&A session after the film.
I’ve seen several versions of the movie over the past few years as Chad and Rush were working on it. This will be the first time that I’ve seen the final version.
I’ve got the DVD on pre-order since there’s no word yet on if/when a blu-Ray release will be made.

Heading to Amazon now. I feel bad for hearing about it just now that it is available, while so many of you guys had to sit on it for so long. Haha

I'm going to pirate 300-400k copies and hand them out across the land. Maybe drum up some interest in our hobby. Johnny Tobaccoseed.

Watching it now. Who would have guessed that I'd be running downstairs for a pipe and a jar of Dunbar two minutes in? haha

After throwing over two grand at the project in money and merchandise for the past nine years, I've lost interest. They've even pushed back the DVD release.😞

After throwing over two grand at the project in money and merchandise for the past nine years, I've lost interest. They've even pushed back the DVD release.😞 I vaguely remember a donation request that said everyone who donated would be named at the end of the credits. I didn't see that list of names when I watched the movie. I liked the storyline. The photography and cinematography was stunning. Audio was very good. But, to me, the editing was the weak link as at times it seemed to be a little disjointed and didn't flow as well as it could have. That is just my personal opinion.

To those waiting for DVD's: You can download and own a copy in much higher resolution right now. iTunes and Amazon. Ironically, owning the downloadable version is significantly cheaper than the DVD.
