She's 7, and desperately wanted me to make her a pipe. I complied, and am almost finished with it. It's a wee one. I'm gonna dye it oxblood. I'll post pics when finished.

I like it, very neat pipe! Chris Morgan had made some tiny pipes that were intended for 10-15 minute smokes, and I think they were about 3-4" in length total.

Sounds like Daddy's little girl. My youngest daughter just had to have a tiny meerschaum to play with when she was little. Of course she got one.π

My girls asked for shoes. I gave them something more valuable. I told them of the days I walked to school in the snow, uphill both ways, in my socks... and that was summer school. Why, when I was in school the nuns couldn't afford rulers to smack our knuckles with. They simply called out 3, 4, 5, or 6 inches as they hit our knuckles with their fingers. They never had us pull our pants down for a whipping. We weren't wearing any!! Milk? Did someone say milk? We had to recycle our milk cartons, which they would fill with Elmer's Glue and Vinegar and tell us that was how day old milk tasted. The girls were damned glad they got recently stitched socks for the holidays.

Very cool. That's a father for you. I made colored cobs for my 6 year daughter and 10 year old son. I will find them playing around house while clenching one of the cobs. π

I love it! My 9 year old boy likes looking at my pipes and smelling my tobacco. He hasnt touched any of them yet, but I'm waiting for it. He did tell me that the smartest people on earth seemed to smoke pipes, and since hes GOING TO BE a doctor, he probably will to. By the time hes a doctor I'll have some well aged tobacco for him

That pipe turned out really nice, I am sure that the specialness will remain with her when she is an old lady. It would be fitting to give her a letter about what you wish for her future on the occasion you give her the pipe, it will be an heirloom for her. (Pipe and personal note)

Very nice...Is it good for flakes? Until she's got parental clearance for tobacco...she can put "frosted" flakes in it. Jason...that is just GORGEOUS. Well done.

I just got the "frosted flakes". Went right over my head the first time. And, Legend Lover, she better not try blowing bubbles out of it...

It's practically a toy. Now, if I posted my daughter SMOKING a pipe, that would be another story. It's a cap-gun of a pipe.
