What is the disease you guys call it with tobacco and pipes? I will sell most of that simply because I am a cigar connoisseur to some degree and I will always be. If I get hooked on the pipe again I can always buy more tobacco which I remember being pretty fascinating! LOL Before you sell your collection, make sure you research those blends that are no longer made such as the McClellands. There is no point in having to pay insane eBay prices for those blends, should you get into pipe smoking and decide you want to give them another look. I will most certainly be judicious in my decisions of what to sell! And quite frankly, I wouldn't know the first thing about selling pipe tobacco. Is it even feasible to sell bulk stuff or things I've opened and tried. I am a tad OCD and I am really enjoying cataloguing and researching all of my tobacco to see what is highly rated, rare, aro or non, etc.

Is there something I should know about pipe tobacco? Other than the mountain of stuff I already don't know In a very basic nutshell... The FDA are trying to clamp down on tobacco blending. If or when it happens, a lot of blends will stop being produced. Prices may also rocket too. If I were you I would hold on to what you have. Despite being aware of how bureaucracy works, or fails to be more accurate, I can't imagine why the FDA would clamp down? Is it because they can't get their money off the top?

Is it because they can't get their money off the top? There are various reasons, but I think that they don't like the fact that humans are consuming stuff over which they have no control (eg vaping juices). I'm not 100% sure but I think that when they started down that road with vaping juices, they brought tobacco along for the ride. I may be way off, but I think that's their concern... The fact that people can add whatever they want to tobacco and sell it for human consumption without going through them first.

The FDA believes we would all be more healthy if nobody smoked. Not just the smokers but the innocents who happen to be within sniffing distance.
In this grand goal they proceed incrementally. And they don't discriminate between cigarettes and pipes, because any loose tobacco can be rolled into a cigarette.
One cannot help but believe it has more to do with taxes, or something. Maybe its a war on fun, or a war on indulgence. But the ostensible reason is public health.
Even in the cigar world, where are you allowed to smoke your cigar. SANANA - smoke absolutely nothing anywhere near anything.

Aromatic vs Non-Aromatic; No Taste vs Taste as far as I'm concern. Sometimes it takes many years to taste aromatics. Definitely not for early in the journey. After nearly thirty years they all taste exactly as they smell now.

Aromatic vs Non-Aromatic; No Taste vs Taste as far as I'm concern. I'm sure it's an issue of gaining an appreciation for what you are smoking. Before I got into cigars I used to think a Macanudo was a good cigar and I soon realized that by learning to appreciate the deep flavor and texture of maduro cigars changes everything. Macanudo cigars are like kissing your sister after you've had Jennifer Aniston, Salma Hayek, and Halle Berry.

I hope I don't get run on my first day with this question
I understand that aromatic vs non is often a heated debate and I have no opinion but I assume it's like an EMS wrapper vs a maduro wrapper on a cigar, or even worse, an Acid cigar vs a real cigar. And I understand that aromatic is the more heavily sweetened/flavored tobacco.
My question is how do I know if a tobacco is aromatic or non, they all smell awesome! I have dozens of jars, tins, and bags of stuff but I don't know how to try aromatic vs non to see what I think?
If I listed some of what I have could you tell me a good non-aromatic to try?
Its a lot like the "debate" between dry fly fisherman and wet fly fisherman. They are both fisherman and even more they are both fly fishers. To outsiders it looks ridiculous. But its not. In your list the first non-aro that pops out is Esoterica Stonehaven. A favorite of mine.

Like everyone's been saying - DO NOT GET RID OF YOUR CELLAR. You may regret it later.
