Just finished smoking Stokkebye Highland Whiskey in a 2013 slight bend grain etched briar John Barrett Volcano with a walnut shank and a black plastic stem. Taking a very short work break. Suzy is sleeping while Molly's chasing her own tail around the den. Respectively, that's their ideas about work.

Nearing the end of a bowl of McC Three Oaks Syrian in my Paronelli olive wood bent Apple. That's a nice pipe, John. How does olive wood smoke compared to briar? Delayed reply due to jet lag... Olive wood is my favorite non-briar material. It smokes very similar to briar; the taste is just slightly lighter and sweeter. Very slightly; almost unnoticeable.
