My advice to her: Many more people will be overly critical and outright spiteful about your work, especially as a writer, than will give you praise.
The salt and pepper shaker seems to be mostly filled with salt. You really get a gauge of the direction your work is heading in when you start getting more mixed reviews of your writing.
Its a difficult journey and even more difficult to make money doing it. The rewards are plenty to those who are truly dedicated, though.

I've had this bookmarked the whole time.
She did an outstanding job!

I agree with Josh - that was a triumph. To be able to write the prose and then compose a tune for 30 different songs in such a short space of time, is astounding (I know some songs were written before Escapril was a thing, but still...).
Tell her she is awesome.

Thanks all. I am glad you all enjoyed it. I am very proud of her.
On a different note, My son graduated from Auburn Saturday with a degree in mechanical engineering.
Here he is with his graduation present that my wife and I got for him.

Hey all! It has been a while since I posted in this thread, but I thought I'd put this one her. My daughter, Caroline (Youtube channel: carolinedoesmusic ) wrote this. She has added a little mandolin to the mix. I think it's pretty good. *shameless Dad brag ) Check it out. Like it if you do and subscribe to her channel if you are so inclined.

Another amazing song, cgvt. Has she shown her work to record producers? She should be mainstream.
