It is the same situation with my fiancee. She just woke up at and its not even 7:00am there yet. She's in Thailand. I'll be closer to your timezone than anyone else on the forum soon. I go back to Thailand next week. I have 120 baht sitting on my desk here, just waiting to burn! Serious cash! ;-)

Welcome! I've been to Australia about a half dozen times. Loved it every time, but it did seem that some of the legal logic was at times as "down under" as the geographical location. Darwin was a place that really is in a class all it's own. If I ever make it back, maybe I can bring some extra presents in my luggage for you

Greetings from south Louisiana. I'll have a Bundy and Coke G'day Tiger. I'm unable to drink these days - beer & stout is ok in moderation, spirits are out - Although I loved Bundaberg rum & coke, the hangovers are seriously wicked.

Welcome! I've been to Australia about a half dozen times. Loved it every time, but it did seem that some of the legal logic was at times as "down under" as the geographical location. Darwin was a place that really is in a class all it's own. If I ever make it back, maybe I can bring some extra presents in my luggage for you Thanks Dewayne. You're spot on about Darwin. A great place to visit in the dry season but too many salt-water crocs, insects & deadly jelly-fish for my liking. The wet season is so humid all one can do is lie in a pool drinking beer, lol. That's a very kind offer but you need to be aware that travelers are only allowed 50g duty free. Anything above that has duty applied (When Customs intercepts a parcel, I'm sent a duty invoice that's $544aud a pound) Travelers need to consider their own needs first. Rather than bringing more than 50g of tobacco with you, it's far safer to post your tobacco before you get here. If you (Or any other member) needs a safe postal address, send me a PM & you can post to me with a forwarding address or arrange to pick up from a Post Office near wherever you're staying (I'd cover/remove the declaration label) so I could post there a few days before your arrival. Small parcels from private senders seem to get through much easier than those from commercial outlets. As it is, outside of the holiday period, I lose on average 1 in 4 orders to Customs. I've received several care packages from the U.S. & haven't lost one (touch wood) (The December/January period was great, when I only lost one out of nine orders)

Another Australian pipe smoker, who went by Gig, used to be active. Have you ever crossed paths with him online?

Welcome to the forum from Idaho USA. Newer to pipe smoking after stopping 20 years ago, but back to near full-time pipe smoking. Glad you found this place, the people are very helpful here!
