Sounds like it to me. www.westernslopenow.com/news/local-news/nicotine-tax/1954949938In the video, the village idiot Jesse Bahr justifies Nicotene tax as "being good for the kids"...since he doesn't use tobacco products, taxing the hell out of others is a good idea. "We cannot have enough money for the kids"..."money for education is a good thing." This guy is definitely a deep thinker. I don't wear skinny jeans, I find them stupid...maybe a $200 excise tax on each pair for that twerp.

Charlie, thanks for posting this link, I’ve read about Jesse Bahr, and his crazy antics a while back. I consider him completely “ off the wall “!!! Next will be “ the big soda tax “ in that town.....just like what Bloomberg implemented in NYC and its Boroughs. It was for “ weight control “ for the children.
Let’s not make fun of him yet, he might run for President of the US one day

Hey... I have a few pair of slim khakis. Granted, I don't need a tub of crisco to get into them, but just sayin.
I think we should be less concerned about what the youngins are wearing these days, and more concerned about the fact that they think the world should be handed to them, and they are entitled to everything that most people have to work for.
That's what keeps me up at night.

From what I've read and observed, the 'smoking is bad for kids' campaign has been successful. It's been so successful that our government is starting to realize that kids would rather vape than smoke. Just ask any high school teacher what's the biggest distraction aside from iphones. Unfortunately not many (if any) politicians would be willing to go on record and state it's time to move on and shift the focus from cigarettes to vaping.

Vaping is a plague in the high schools and middle schools here. I asked my son about it (he vapes) and he said almost everyone he knows in school vapes now, hardly anyone smokes.
I'm not against vaping, I've vaped for several years, not so much anymore. But I do believe that children shouldnt be vaping, or smoking.
The ads have done their job in my opinion. There are less kids smoking cigarettes. But they have created a whole new problem.
The thing is, people are going to do whatever you tell them they can't.

What amazes me is that people of that guys mindset never think about their own ox being gored, I am sure that if I had a window into his life, I could find some vice that the screws could be turned on.
If I wanted to mainline battery acid, it really is none of his business... individual liberty.. this guy chaps my hide, and the reporter is even more foolish for thinking his opinion matters.
I can see the nicotine tax catching on with other states... I hope not.

I still want to understand how the FDA thinks that inspecting a pipe maker who makes pipes in his home has anything to do with this ridiculous infringement on our rights...how bout pipe cleaners...they gonna inspect those companies too?

I'll give them a head start and name a few who easily leave fuzzy bits behind. I mean come on, think of the children!

My farm neighbor who is dead , passed about 10 yrs ago was in a tussle with Federal game wardens. Cajuns take land rights very seriously, hunting for food on your own Land is a right, government doesn’t give you that right. One night my neighbor and his brother were Passé La Poss, hunting geese on the full moon, game wardens drew down on them, a fight ensued, they beat up the Feds pretty bad. It went to court, this was in the 40s after the war. At the Court house there were trucks full of Cajuns, armed and ready to fight the Government, I believe that swayed the Courts in just a fine. After that there was a decrease in hunting violations. As long as we have guns, Government can Suck.

Like Idaho, Colorado has been over run by the Cali Cockroaches. They spread their twisted PC messaging wherever they go.

That's what keeps me up at night. My sons are all Gen Y and hard working boys. But even they talk about the Gen Z's like they live in a different world. I've heard some stories about how some of the Zs go about job interviews and it scares the hell out of me. BTW, I have a pair of skinny jeans and I don't think taxing those is the best idea (they're too d****d expensive as it is) - although a quite humorous thought.

Yeah...it was a generational swipe I took, first thing to come to mind when seeing the guy.....heavy taxation on selfies and texting might be more appropriate.
