I don't know if this has been discussed before. I tried to find a thread where I could share my dream pipe and couldn't find one so I made this one. I would love a large wide bowled rusticated briar churchwarden. Something like Savinelli 360 EX Hercules bowl on a long churchwarden stem. I love the chimney stack as well, and I have a few custom super stacks on long stems. I would love an unambiguous chimney churchwarden. I have no idea if such a thing is physically feasible. But the idea has captured me. Such a pipe would be my all day smoker. I love the 320 EX for its bowl size and shape. I love the chimneys too, 2 inch inside height or more. They both impact flavor in delightful ways, and hold enough tobacco that I don't usually have to have my second pipe loaded and on deck. I smoke a churchwarden because, well, its becoming my personality. The combination would keep me entertained for the next 20 years. There might be some of these already that I just don't know about, so you can all point out candidates. More to the point, do you guys have a dream pipe? What characteristics do you wish you could find all in one pipe? Price not an issue at this point, just design.

If I ever buy another pipe it will be a large bowl Cherry Wood style with a bent Lucite stem.

Mine would be a long stem Canadian similar to the one Ron, of RdPipes, made for PeterD-Buffalo Spirit. Ron makes some incredibly beautiful functional pipes in my opinion.

So named, I believe, because Ropp started making the shape years ago - out of actual cherry wood. I've made a cherry wood for both Darin and one for Don, in two totally different styles. @ , if you're in the market down the line, let me know. I'm in the weeds with commissions right now, but I can make you one for a very reasonable price when my schedule clears up.

It's on hold 'til I finish a couple pipes, but I'll PM you with the finished piece when it's done, and you can decide if it's up to snuff.

I had a vivid pipe dream (nightmare) last night that I remembered in the morning but I've bought 3 of my "dream" pipes over the years. Right now I have two, a big Gr5/6 Dunhill Namiki billiard with just the Japanese characters and a Castello "shingle" Epoca. I have another piece I would like but it would be to easy to get to call it dream pipe.

pepesdad1, do you mean this pipe from Ron? I bought his first one and a friend of mine also had one made. An incredible piece of pipe work and a delight to smoke.

Not a dream shape, but one day I'd like to purchase one of Cramptholomew's pipes, for a ton of reasons...knowing the man that he is being the main reason.

The Dunhill Namiki Billiard. If I owned it I would never smoke it. It would sit in a place of prominence.

I believe that is the one or one just like it...or close to that one...either way...yeah, that is my dream pipe...actually any pipe made by Ron is a dream pipe, in my opinion...the one he gifted me smokes like a dream...sometimes I have to go in where my pipes are stored and just look at it...to make sure I'm still not just dreaming.

I was lucky and found Bruce Weaver a few years before he retired. He made several pipes for me that I considered "dream pipes", and even gave me two of his unsold pieces when he did retire.

Ah, I see you have a blowfish with PLATEAU on the OTHER side. I like that strawberry with the flat bottom. Nice lines on that one. Well, they're all good lookers.

If you have a 360EX you already like, had you considered getting a stem custom made?
A handmade stem can be had for a hundred dollars or so. There doesn't seem to be any practical reason you couldn't have one cut to the length and bend you prefer.

You can get a 7-9 inch churchwarden stem from Stem and Briar for $26.90.

It's been up for sale for a few months now. For a mere $35,000usd it could be yours. Seriously, who in their right mind would spend $35K on a pipe? (Sorry don't know how to link or post pics here - seller is airlineinternational if anyone cares to look)

You can get a 7-9 inch churchwarden stem from Stem and Briar for $26.90. That will be cut from a blank, rather than hand-cut.
Not that stems cut from a blank are bad. Just, if I were setting up my favorite piece, I'd rather have hand cut.

Hah, and it's damaged! Hell, 35k isn't even a discount on list price. They're just hoping someone will toss'em an offer. Send in $8k and see what happens
