GH Ennerdale Flake in my Savinelli Oscar Tiger 673 KS. Cup of Starbucks French Roast.
This morning I am trying my Ennerdale Flake by the "Delayed Gratification" method. I packed my pipe and had just a light initial light last night. This morning, I was surprised to find the floral Lakeland essence to be fairly muted, and brought out some light cocoa and hazelnut flavors. It is matched perfectly with the smoky cocoa flavors of the French Roast coffee.
Just a side note: I also noticed that smoking GH Kendal Flake after a meal of Indian cuisine, Hyderabadi Biryani, also seemed to mute the Lakeland Essence and bring out more of the tobacco flavors. I wonder if the curry and cilantro somewhat mask the Lakeland Essence. Again, a very enjoyable experience.

...next up is Esoterica Dunbar in the Cramptholomew Devil Anse Stack... I kinda feel bad that I don't let this pipe rest a little more, but it doesn't seem to mind. Low sodium V8. Cool water. Afternoon nap coming up.

Lane Andullo dated 2016 Pipe of choice: an old Grabow Viking I restored a number of years ago. The shank was so pitted it needed to be sanded, I decided to spray flat black. I have many bowls, plus it’s an excellent smoking pipe 👌👍👍

Back home after attending funeral services for my old friend and team mate, Wayne Talbert. Sad day for a lot of people. I'm just past the half way mark on the last of this sample of 20 year old Rattray’s Brown Clunee in a 1984 black sandblasted straight Dunhill Shell 4103 Billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink.

Had a light, very late lunch - more of a snack - and am part way through this bowl of year 2014 Saint James Flake in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.
