I held off on posting to give this blend more times through the pipe. To me it smelled of a sweet hay and fruit when I opened the tin. It is at about the midway point between mild and medium on the nic scale. I have only smoked this blend in non-filter pipes. I am not a big burley fan and that is the taste I get the most. The wife thinks it smells a little like a cigarette. I do not get a cigarette taste from smoking it though. It burns my nose when I retrohale but I get more of the Virginia taste that way.
All in all I don't dislike it but I don't love it either. I have two 100 gram tins and will cellar them for about 5 years and see if it marries the flavor a little better. I won't be purchasing anymore at this point.
