Wow is that weird. I was smoking a pipe that was gurgling earlier and was wondering how your repair went. Then the thread is resurrected. Strange indeed.

I never got around to messing with it. But as I'm sitting here smoking it right now and being mad about it, it's getting operated on after this bowl. I kinda feel bad that I bought it up my man

It's ok, I was smoking it as you posted that and it was making me mad. So it was getting done today anyway Everything is drilled out a little bit more. The draw definitely feels more open, like some of my other pipes. That doesnt mean it's not going to gurgle though. I'll load it up in a bit and see how it goes.

Half a bowl in and so far, so good. I took all the suggestions in the thread and used them all.
Redrilled to 11/64 and made the end concave.
Smoking my mix without drying it at all, no pipe cleaner and havent had the slightest gurgle.
I call it luck. But it smokes MUCH better now.

We'll see after a few more smokes. It's one if my favorite shaped pipes that I have, but the constant gurgle drove me nuts.

Lol @ you two. It appears someone else has been watching Dr. Oz this week as well. I forgot all about Scott Peterson until he brought him up.
Sitting outside smoking this pipe again and it seems that I have solved the issue.
I'll consider this mission a success because I LOVE this pipe and can now smoke it without wanting to throw it across the yard.

Two Scott Petersons. One murdered his wife and the other hid behind the school in Florida instead of going in after the shooter.

Peterson shoulda done this work before you. It still annoys me that Peterson doesn't do non-System pipes correctly.
I don't have a non-System from Peterson that I really love.

You da man, Josh.
Glad you seem to have got it sorted.
If all else fails, drill a hole in the bottom of the pipe for the moisture to drip out. 😉
