"Up to" is the key part of that phrase in the promo. I wonder what the average discount actually is. A quick parusal of the site makes me think the average discount is a lot lower than 60%...A LOT lower.

^Still P&C is a retailer that typically offers the most sales, some of which other retailers rarely if ever match. One just needs to be a bit aware of the market and make wise choices. I believe most Patch members can figure things out.
PS Just last month many Marquee blends were around ~$6.70 a tin, approximately 40% off.

^ "A lot of time misleading people"? I am aware of P&C's less than obvious advertisements, the fluctuations in pricing, various other issues perceived or otherwise. Suspicious and noteworthy? I will give one that but saying they use deception "A lot" can be looked upon as being a bit excessive. If one is concerned with pricing, sales and advertisements etc., I recommend reading the company's terms etc., comparing prices, reviews....... becoming competent with Google.... to make an informed decision.

Bottom line for me, I do not have a brick and mortar to support, the extra funds to buy elsewhere and/or any great sense of righteous indignation over tobacco sales (though I have written P&C and Tobaccopipes (any retailer that I have had an issue with) questioning a few practices etc.). The blends I have purchased through P&C and affiliates have easily saved me 30-40% on average compared to the lowest regular price of the competition. P&C customer service has helped me everytime a request has been made. These two facts moderate the other observations and keeps me as a customer.
Pipes and Cigars has few fence sitters. However there are some here who take the good with the bad and do well; Not hiding our head either way.

Thanks for the heads up, the only thing I tend to get from them is Angler's Dream. Never cared for any of th H&H blends and you don't get to see the pipe you're purchasing so they're iffy to me.

I only ever had one issue with P&C and that was poor packing one time. I made a call and they took care of it easily.
With that said, I wont be posting deals or secret codes anymore, at least with P&C. The negativity that follows isnt worth it.

Scott, you do a great job posting the P&C sales that many might not be aware of. Many pipe smokers still purchase from them with no issues. Appreciate your post👌👍👍

If people don't want to purchase from them, it's their perogative. If people are willing to make a purchase, then they have you to thank. You're responsible for informing people of the deals, not the resultant issues if they take you up on the deals. |
