Scrooge warned me...said to keep an eye on my mailbox...OK...I'm thinking a tin of tobacco...the man doesn't deserve a name like Scrooge...he is anything but...more like Santa Claus!! This is what just arrived at my little hut.   Brother Scrooge!!! You just amaze me more and more every day...can't thank you enough...first an LHS Sterncrest pipe and now this...I certainly don't deserve all this generosity...but that is what Scrooge does...Chasin Embers told me..."Never get in a gifting war with Scrooge...you will always loose"...meaning he will flood you. THANKS BROTHER SCROOGE!! Made an old man have tears in his eyes. Love ya, brother! Can't thank you enough. |

That Stanny Scrooge sent me...outstanding smoker...just finished the first bowl and dry and cool to the bottom...the proverbial grey dry ash.

It's a beauty, I cant wait to see it in person. The 2 Stanwells I have are 2 of my best smoking pipes. I'll be "accumulating" more whenever I feel like I have enough tobacco to last me until I'm 429 years old.

Scrooge in the Dickens novel ended up being quite generous...James passed up most of the book and landed at chapter 5. Smoking Bishop is a type of mulled wine, punch or wassail. It was especially popular in Victorian England at Christmas time...But for the sake of this thread, it is a venerated tobacco blend. |
