Enjoyed a couple slices of freshly baked chocolate meringue pie, and am part way through this bowl of Wessex Burley Slice in a straight sandblasted pre-transition Barling Exel 249 Fossil T.V.F. black billiard with a silver band and a black ebonite military bit tapered stem.

My gal is satisfied if I take a shower. It washes the smell of smoke (and everything else) off of me. Just sayin'..... I tried shampooing my beard three times and the wife still noticed. She's got the nose of a bloodhound. My wife and youngest daughter always complain after I smoke (although I do smoke some odiferous stuff), but never anything that a shower doesn't solve. What were you smoking, LL?

I like Crooner (i.e., deertongue), but not all of the time. Definitely only when I'm in the mood. It does seem to smoke well in a Bing's Favorite.

It's a pretty strong blend, so it might not ring any bells with your wife, but mine seems to like it ... more than others at least.

Yes, more C&D Crooner in the Savinelli "Der Bingle." Cool water. Vodka shot. Deertongue... you either like it or you don't. I only made it partway through my first bowl of Crooner. That was in my first couple days as a pipe smoker though and honestly, I don't remember what it even taste like. Maybe I'll pick an ounce up next time I'm in the local shop.

That one bowl of Captain Gold burned me so bad yesterday, I'm just now having my first pipe since.

Went out for a Sunday afternoon walk with the dog and took along the new Scott’s Pipes fig and some Amphora Virginia blend for the maiden smoke. I think the dog might be a little traumatized after her snakebite encounter a couple of weeks ago. She’s convinced that this bit of fallen tree bark is a threat. Quite frankly, I’m not entirely certain that she’s wrong.
