59F and cloudy. Smoking Uhle's #300 in an MM Country Gent with Trader Joe's coffee and some dark chocolate on the side before sunrise. Lower back has been a little stiff in the AM so I'm going to the chiropractor this morning. Will walk this afternoon as rain is supposed to clear out for a little while.

I broke my truck key this morning. Fortunately, had the spare handy, went to the dealer and found out the fix is going to be $300. That would have been a $3 fix at the hardware store with my old truck. Sorry about my luck. Just have to drive on. Loading up a bowl of Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake in an 1/8 bent blasted Mark Tinsky two star 2006 Christmas panel, drinking ice tea with lemon and listening to ESPN radio.

Part way through this bowl of early 2000s Charatan Mild Flake in a much cherished smooth straight grain three quarter bend 1979 Becker M 4 heart brandy with a black acrylic stem. A bottle of Cheerwine is my drink. Back home and out of the cold rain. Suzy and Molly were very happy to see us return, and they got wet food while I had a slice of pizza.

SG Full Virginia Flake, chilled Dewar's, NPR on the transistor radio under the setting sun in the garden with Riker at my side. The Oaks, Palms, and Mango trees are dead still and tirelessly patient in the windless cloudless starry night ahead. I want to forget the stress of today's work and not think of work tomorrow. Riker, Jupiter, and Radio are my only three that matter and make life richer than gold.

About a quarter of the way through this bowl of the best durn tobacco ever made: year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded. Starting to run low on this tin now. Relaxing after a a wonderful barbecue and baked beans dinner, along with a healthy slice of strawberry cheesecake.
