41F and cloudy, a likely break in the rain today. Eggs topped with cheddar, cottage cheese and coffee for breakfast. Now smoking Esoterica Penzance in an Altinok meerschaum and drinking hot green tea with lemon. Heading to the county recycling and waste management center today. Ah, what a way to start a day! Retirement seems to suit you just fine Mark! Count your blessings again mate!

G'eve folks , Wednesday afternoon, , lunted to a new locale cafe an Algerian newbie, had an Americano coffee outside under cover, they have not got the hang of coffees nor British English yet, sat & puffed on my MM Ozark cherry mini pipe with Cap'n Black , I took along Ali my Gerbil in his little box & chatted with Ali & the passers bye....had a cheese butty & slices of melon for a lunch at the cafe with the cars , lorries & buses pouring out fumes. Then lunted beside the park lake with my gerbil Ali & the settled Canadian geese & Swans & mucky cygnets, ducks & coots & the little Dab ducking for food, enjoying some banter with passers, bye with their dogs & lovers, joggers & gangs, families & wannabees. The sun was setting behind the grey sky. A pied snipe made a quick look. Fed Pop & pets. Puffing on a fine English in my Parker Rhodesian. See Y'All. And...ah, what a way to spend a day! Makes me aspire to the near impossible dream of retirement.

Cooler morning on the West Coast of the Dark Continent. Fire season in the Western Cape with fire warnings daily and fire fighters stretched to the max. Could smell the smoke from fires more than 100 kilometres away this morning. Quiet time on the balcony this morning with Frankie and Pippin (well, quiet time for me that is; the two rascals were playing up in the rafters and on the roof!) Thor's Day, therefor Sam Gawith 1792 Flake in the Goussard workshop poker, Gold Roast in the mug and gratitude in the heart.

Greetings from Greece, last night we had rain here in Athens but today the sun came up from early the morning. Briar Patch Country Pleasure - Golden Gate, double espresso plus cool water in my side. Ian Richardson I believe, perhaps the best ever. In the early 80s he was contracted to cover six episodes; however, due to legal complications only two were released in America, The Sign of Four and, of course, The Hound of the Baskervilles. Both were shown as HBO exclusives when it was still worth paying for, not so much now. Jeremy Brett was more impulsive that's why i like him more, I.Richardson could make lot of success if they had let him play more episodes but you can still watch him as Joseph Bell in Murder Rooms: Mysteries of the Real Sherlock Holmes.

Part way through this bowl of the best durn tobacco ever made: year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in the first pipe Trever Talbot made when he went to France many years ago. It's a smooth straight Algerian briar Billiard bowl with a long Canadian stem, unbranded. Have enough left for a couple of bowls. Relaxing after a wonderful chicken and rice dinner.
