Now smoking Dunbar In a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. In celebration of finally owning one of Conrad's pipes, I am smoking it while m'lady and I watch the pilot movie for Cannon.

Now smoking D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Canadian Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 with a black vulcanite stem. Working and listening to Suzy chirp in happiness because she has a full tummy. Molly, who eats much less, is ready to play, but I think Suzy's not interested.

Marlin Flake in Svendborg Having a bit of much needed drizzle here and there today. I don't think it will help the drought much, but any little bit is welcome.

Couldn't sleep, so I figured why waste time being awake when I can smoke Edgeworth Ready Rubbed in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite stem. Simply Orange is my drink.

40F and cloudy outside. Not much chance of rain today for a change. Smoking Pete Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake in an 1/8th bent GBD 549 Varichrome bulldog, drinking Trader Joe's coffee at sunrise. A fine walk will be the first order of the day.

Still couldn't sleep, so I'm smoking early 2000s Charatan Mild Flake in a straight smooth patent era 1952 Dunhill Bruyere ODA apple 806 B124 with a black vulcanite stem. Molly's the only one happy about it because she's gotten attention and play time. Suzy's snoozin' through it all.

Savinelli Gold Dablouns a/k/a Doblone d' Oro... many dark shades of Bell's Three Nuns & PH Curly Block in flavor profiles, albeit slightly more floral & a bit less bold in strength to my palette. An ultra-easy 1st class smoke with great burn and huge billowy clouds right out of a fresh tin - a very special blend this one!

Wessex Burley Slice with a pinch of mixing Cavendish in another MM Country Gent, much better for my palate. This is an incredibly rich flavor loaded Burley flake with a pretty solid nic kick, nothing crazy like C&D OJK, but enough I wanted to water it down a little for a second consecutive bowl. Probably not an all day smoke for me or one which I think I'll prefer over the Uhle Burleys in my rotation but a good one for thinking moments as it does have some complexity for a solid Burley which I want to explore further. I'm enjoying a Leinenkugal's Northwoods Lager and watching back to back episodes of the X-files this evening on free MY TV.

Mixing to personalize one's taste proves determination to make the experience the best that it can be. Blenders can only go so far in knowing what we like... we can take it the rest of the way if we dare... so worth it!!! Bravo, @10furlongs
