33F, our likely high for the day. Cold and our first snow expected tomorrow. Uhle's #300 in an MM Country Gent, drinking Trader Joe's coffee before sunrise. Heading out this morning to fill up a couple kerosene jugs and get the wood burner ready to fire up for the weekend.

Oh my!!! A sample of HU Tobacco "Red Fox" (I think, hope I'm reading the handwriting on the sample packet correctly)... I can't find it on the HU website. It tastes like a med-strong VaPer - it is WONDERFUL & SOOO Flavorful!!! Email to Hans should clear up the mystery and preempt a hefty order! UPDATE: Here is Han's reply to my inquiry re Red Fox - !!!!!!!!!!! "Hi Daniel, the Red Fox is at the moment not available. I have only 2 tins in my private stock. I created this blend for an pipeshow in Germany and plan the official start at Pipeshow Lohmar in May. Personally I like this blend also very much. It`s sweert, malty not grassy and brings me a relaxted smoking time. If you want the 2 tins, you could have it. Best Hans

Jim - since I may never have opportunity to try Three Nuns in its best vintage iteration, can you tell what it is most similar to that is available, and how it is the same and different? Thanks!

Perhaps the closest thing to it made today is Savinelli Doblone d'Oro. Sam Gawith's Cabbie's Mixture gives you an essence of what VaPer Three Nuns was. I take it you had no luck with Marty's site?
