Hello everyone! I am Ben from North Eastern Arkansas. I've recently taken pipe smoking up again after a few years break. I started pipe smoking back in 2013. I put it down a few years ago due to some bad tongue bite. I've learned what blends suit me since then. I prefer corn cobb pipes and burly based blends. My favorites are Prince Albert, Prince Albert Soft Vanilla, and Lane Limited Ready Rubbed. I've tried all the fancy blends and had some very expensive briar pipes. The "codger" blends and cob pipes just speak to me. My favorite pipe is a Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentlemen. That is me and what I love to smoke. Thank y'all for having me.

adding my greets/welcome from Western NY area (Buffalo, Rochester aea). Nothin' wrong with the old OTC blends, don't personally do 'em anymore. Everything I smoke is heavy latakia based, course not for everybody. Enjoy your stay here Benny, enjoy the fray
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY pipe/cigar since '62 (at 78.5 yrs, most likely have "seniority") but still upright

More greetings from Washington state, but the green side this time . I honestly keep meaning to pick up some codger blends; I have a feeling I'd enjoy Carter Hall. You're in good company here as primarily a cob fan, and some of these guys put some amazing finishes on those cobs as well. Enjoy!

Tongue bite put me off on my 2nd attempt to take up a pipe over 30 years ago. There were no pipe smokers around to advise me that it was due to the sweet aromatic that I'd chosen. Over 9 years ago I finally ditched the cigarettes for a pipe. I've three MM cobs including a Country Gentleman. All are good smokers. If you like burley blends, I'd highly recommend Scottys Butternut Burley & Holiday Match.

welcome from Charleston, WV! I also love cobs. My favorite is the Mark Twain. I smoke a lot of C&D blends and Sutliff blends, but I'm also fond of Captain Black, PA Cherry Vanilla, Velvet and Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic.

What is PA soft vanilla like? I've smoked PA for decades. Never tried it.
