Smokingpipes.com Blog has put together a list of their pipe smoking resolutions. Those things within your pipe smoking which you resolve to improve or change in the coming year. Each of their staff has chimed in and shared their own promises for a new year. You can read the entire post at "SP.Com - 2017 Piping Resolutions". So, I ask each of you... what are your pipe smoking resolutions for the coming year? Will it be to curb your TAD & PAD... or maybe increase it? Be more diligent with your cleaning regiment? Please feel free to share your resolutions in the comments below, and a Happy and Healthy New Year to each of you!

Pretty basic for me. Smoke more, cellar more, clean my pipes more.
Maybe easier said than done, but I'll give it the old college try.

Resolutions, like rules, are meant to be broken. Bearing that in mind I resolve to not buy more than 1 pipe a month. So far I'm good but there are 27 days left in the month.

Well hell, looks like I have missed alot. Got the email from our illustrious leaders and figured I would drop by and say hi. This looks like as good a place to start as any. Guess my resolution should be obvious, Ill be sure to get my arse over here to visit more often.
Happy New Year all

My current cellar will outlive me, easily, as will my collection of pipes with perhaps the exception of cobs. I don't have anything left to chase but I have much to be thankful for with what's on hand. Having just recently retired, I need to focus on making what's on hand work which will actually be a pleasure I'm looking forward to as it was always part of the mix from the beginning. All necessary resources are on hand, I just need to execute the plan, relax and enjoy.

Hi, my crazy pipe dream is to visit America again one year & take in the Chicago pipe show & the Dayton Hamvention for radio hams & at the same time visit my only nephews family then go to Seattle & down the Pacific Coast to San Francisco, then maybe be a beach bum busking for dollars & build my dream self built boat in sight of the Golden Gate Bridge or alternatively fly home with my supply of US tobacco & pipes & dream another crazy plan, see Ya,

I would like to acquire some estate pipes, I have several on Blue Room Briars that I have my eye on, as well as one gorgeous pipe that is calling my name on EstatePipes.co.uk and there is a 2016 Stanwell on ebay I want, I want to have one 2016 pipe as an anniversary pipe since I started smoking in 2016. I also want to try more tobacco, I think my pipe club will help with that. So, my fingers are crossed that hubby's pay raise comes in soon....

Lady Margaret, we also have the Box Pass that John (Papipeguy) runs. This is a GREAT way to try new tobacco. I believe he will be re-generating the list sometime in February.

So far: Try not to miss a single meeting of the Cape Town Pipe Smokers Guild. (missed too many this year). Buy a meerschaum or two. (I have none in my collection). Stock up on the basic tobacs from the USA and explore the European tobacs (should funds allow )

Trapperhoney I agree the box pass is a great way to try new tobacco!! I have had to opt out due to my current predicament but will try for the next one. Also here is a link for nice ash cigars..they sell perfect puff tobacco..it is their name on lane...sutliff..stokkeby..bulk blends at a stupid cheap price. The last time I purchased from them most bags came unlabeled so either buy just a few blends that you can figure out what they are by smell or buy what you want and hope they come with labels! www.niceashcigars.com/I will say that the tobacco arrived in great condition and many of the bags were filled by a generous person with a very heavy hand!
