I should have added that hammock tool with a good piece of leather belt will also come in handy to strop your knife blade with ease. Start at the back end of the blade which is called the heel, just past the ricasso if your knife is made with an unsharpened portion. Work the blade on a slight angle and strop from the heel to the point of the knife. Both sides of the blade are done in this manner. In no time you’ll put a razors edge back on your knife with little time and effort. If your blade is very dull use a different piece of leather for when honing oil or a stropping paste is needed. Have fun but be safe!!!
