While I never liked aromatics, I’ve branched out to try several including some by Russ. I like the candy corn and fudge cake and want to get a few more as I’m going on vacation with the family who doesn’t smoke pipes so I figure bringing aromatics would be a way to go. Has anyone tried this?

I have a few times, I missed my non-aros. I keep a few jars out just in case I feel like having a pipe around other people, but I like to be left alone.
Edit: I can tell that I'm tired and my brain is running on empty. I completely took that question wrong and answered incorrectly. I have not tried snickerdoodle, but I have tried smoking aros around other people to please them. I smoke to please myself, and most of the time I dont want an aro.
Anyway, enough of my rambling, I need to finish this pipe and get some much needed sleep

Haven’t had the pleasure yet, but I have smoked and enjoyed both candy corn and fudge cake👌👍👍. Just let them dry out a bit and they don’t bite. Russ makes many tasty blends, like all the MM tobacco’s.
My only issue to this day is if, which I no longer would do is smoke ANY Virginia without a year minimum of age. I learned the hard way!!!

Josh, I agree with you but since my mother is going to be there too and she despises smoke, I want to bring some aromatics. Truthfully, I’ve enjoyed a few of them as of late but I like my non aros too. I think I need to pop a tin of orlik soon

I like quite a few aros on occasion now. They're just few and far between.
I get where you're coming from though and completely understand. The family gives me strange looks when I smoke Bayou Night around them. It was worse when I liked lat heavy blends. I think everyone enjoys my Vas a lot more.

I haven't tried snickerdoodle, and I know this doesn't help your specific question, but I bought my dad a few ounces of Autumn Evening for father's day. He lit it up, and it was literally like being in a pancake house. The syrup, the pancakes, the bacon, the whole shebang. I had some last winter, but I can't find my jar, so I bought some to bring with me on vacation. It's certainly a crowd pleaser.

Never forget, that there are some people that have medical issues. If they have breathing problems, then they won't appreciate you smoking near them, regardless of the blend. Unfortunately, last night someone called me and my asthmatic wife after I had started smoking. We both had to be close to her cell phone, to handle the call. Obviously, I put the pipe down, but I was still smoky.
There are various reasons why someone would be militantly against tobacco. Losing a close relative to lung cancer would do this. Therefore, no blend will please them. Just refrain from smoking around them, if you want to live in peace.
Other non-smokers are neutral. They will hate latakia blends, but might enjoy an aromatic. Hopefully, your family is in this camp, and you make a good choice in your blend. Or you could take two or three blends, and let them choose what you put in your pipe.

I've liked every one of Russ' blends I have tried, at least a couple of dozen. I need to try this one.
I have lost several family members to cigarettes, including my dad and brother. So now I hate cigarettes with a passion. Pipes and cigars are very different.

That blend isn't available to me but I love the name... Surely you can't go wrong. 😳

I don't care much for the flavor. It should be called Sunday Breakfast.

I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned Scottys Butternut Burley. I'm not big on aromatics but this is the one aro I reach for when I'm in the mood for something sweet or when I'll be smoking around others. [ Butterscotch Burley would be more fitting] Not goopy or over-the-top. PS Luxury Twist Flake is also good.

I haven't tried Snickerdoodle yet but had Autumn Evening and was banned from smoking it in the house. Everyone said it smelled like burnt popcorn. They do like Russ's Pancake and Newminster Blackberry Brandy and Candy Corn. I might have to get a couple ounces of Snickerdoodle to try.

But it's not worth trying to get a good one.

I tried some Peterson conosuirs blend and it cut through 3-4 lit cigars and it has some natural Virginia sweetness in it but there’s also added casing which I’m not a fan of. PS twisted flakes has a touch of vanilla that sometimes pleases noses. I was smoking dunhill Dunbar and until I got a whiff of second hand I didn’t realize how awful it smelled. Even to other smokers it was had a awful stink.I have no idea what was in it to give that aroma.
