Recently, someone on one of the forums I use, offered 1 lb of Crème Brulee from Sutliff to anyone that wanted it. He stated that he enjoyed it, but apparently had too much Scotch before placing his next tobacco order. The package arrived today and I tried my first bowl of it. I used my pipe from JMG, which is dedicated to aromatics. Stanley, expect something in the mail soon.
This tobacco is just like it's name. It smelled very sweet in the package and tasted sweet all through the smoke. I was worried that it would be hard to smoke, since it was wet. But, I only used two matches to light and it burned consistently all the way down. I think that this blend was well named. It was very sweet, but I never experienced any tongue burn. The taste was consistent all through the smoke. The blend reminds me of the actual desert. It is a little too sweet for a regular smoke. I only have the actual dessert when I am going out for dinner at a fine restaurant.
I have tried many aromatic blends, that need a litte more flavor. I think adding some of this blend to other aromatics that you might enjoy. That will increase the sweet factor. I have several aromatics I enjoy, but this might really help them. The blend is mild, so no danger of getting a buzz from it.
If anyone at the CCPD wants to try some, I will bring this to the next meeting to share.

I like it on occasion. It is a little too sweet for an all day smoke.

Since I'm an aromatic guy, this is just fine for me on the sweetness scale. I could smoke it all day. Yep, it will surprise you for how well it burns, given that it's a damp and sweet aro, and is no tongue burner. Sutliff is known for a good variety of tobacco offerings, but they're tops in the aromatic aisle in my opinion.

I have 1lb cellared. Smoke it when the mood hits, as mentioned, it is sweet. Its stablemates, Vanilla Custard, Barbados Plantation/bulk:Queen Anne's Revenge are similar.

Sutliff makes the only Aros that I've tried and ended up buying more for later. When "later" is, I have no idea.
I'm not big on overly sweet tobacco, so I'm sure this one isnt for me. Good review.

Good review of a good blend.
Sutliff has good aromatic blends that are tasty on their own or do well mixed with others. I find if I want some aromatic but not heavy, mixing with a simple virginia works for me. I tend to grab a virginia from Sutliff as me OCD makes me want to keep it all Sutliff. lol

Oooh but I have! But only Rum Cake, which is exceptional. Thank you for the reminder though, now I know where to continue my tobacco shopping spree!

So I do the same as you. Daughter & Ryans Windsail is a perfect blending Virginia. Especially since it's a touch dry & most aro's are moist. Mark Twain is one aro that I bought in bulk before my tastes changed towards English & non-aro's. Mixed 50/50 with Windsail Virginia it makes a lovely smoke. This is what I usually puff on at social occasions. Others love the aroma.

I'm not a big aromatic smoker, but I do like a quality vanilla blend, like Sutliff Crème Brulee, when the mode strikes me. Sutliff Vanilla Custard, Sutliff Dulce de Leche, Lane 1-Q, Lane BCA, and Lane RLP-6 are also very good. I usually mix them with some Five Brothers and the result is wonderful. 👍👍👍

In reverse, downshift Picayune with a pinch/dash of Creme Brulee... either way sounds good to me :-)

I do have to say that Sutliff aromatics are almost perfect for me and dont need the addition of the burley. That is mainly for the non sutliff aromatics that i find too sweet..goopy..and things like that.. the only time i did cut a sutliff aromatic was when I really liked the blend and feared running out before my wallet said I could buy more so I added the blending burly to stretch it...dang now i may have to run to "Ciggy's" tobacco shop next to the tractor store and start stretching all of my aromatics..dammit now that will cause me to either REALLY pack the tobacco back into the mason jar or size up the jar..

I'll have to pop a tin and give it a try, both by itself and as a mixer. 👍

A superb dessert blend, needs some dry time, extremely sticky. Also great for blending, I’v pressed a number of pucks successfully.
