Well, with the caveat that I wouldn't change a thing that would kept me from meeting my wife, I would have done a lot differently. I was offered a full ride at Brown and Rice, and an appointment to Annapolis. (my uncle was a retired admiral. None of my family had any knowledge of college so I didn't understand what I was being offered. I would have accepted one of these offers and I can't imagine what my life would be after that. I have been a blue collar 30% and white collar 70% of my life. That said, I am pretty happy with my life, I made it to retirement and I have a little money for travel and extras.

As Ken said:..."It isn't high school for me anymore it's life and it took me a lot of years to figure it out." When you don't grow up until your 50...you've pissed away alot of your life. I have a good wife, a paid for "house", I eat every day and have both peace and joy...I can't ask for more than that.

Answering my original question -I would change 90% of my life. Place of birth, parents, looks, occupations. The only thing I would keep would be my wife.

I feel like the journey in life I have taken has led me to where I am now, and that's exactly where I'm supposed to be. I have a great wife, an awesome child, good job and some pretty decent friends, and then there's you weirdos on here and I just completely adore all y'all

I wouldn't change anything, not because it was all perfect, but because I think it was the life I was supposed to lead. My family has always been the most important thing to me, and if I had done the things I could have done differently, I couldn't have had that. Garth Brooks says it well.
