Now smoking Orlik Golden Sliced in a Dunhill amber root bent rhodesian with a repair band and cumberland stem. This was my dad’s pipe. It smokes well, but needs more maintenance than my other pipes.

Also you’re not in the way. I don’t mean to lecture you, but I’ve had some horrifically painful days and thought about quitting. Thank god I didn’t. Anyway, enough of my big mouth!

Thanks, Sam...I'm 76 and slightly befuddled...well...mostly befuddled but I try to hide it well...sometimes not so well...anyway, I can't quit this painful life as I have a wife who needs someone to bitch at or she would be bored, and a small girl chihuahua who would miss having me to lay next to and snuffle her behind the ears as I love to do...so I will be here come hell and/or high water. ^^^said chihuahua^^^^, my baby!

Thank you Sam....she is our baby...she has epilepsy and can't be left alone..she is a sweetheart and talks to me all the time...comes to get me at 10PM as it is her bedtime and she wants me there so she can lay her head on my leg as she sleeps...I don't mind a bit as we both love her as a child...when it is her time we will both be a mess...but we have decided as much as we want another...we are too old to be taking care of anyone but ourselves and we aren't all that good at doing that anymore.

Closed off the month last night with some Black Frigate in a Dunhill group 4 Shell Briar Bulldog. Glass of Cabernet at my side. About to start my day with some McClellands Rose of Latakia in a Mehmet ali Barinci Meerschaum, slightly rusticated bent billiard accompanied by Peet's coffee. Happy August to all of you.
