Charlie, I love your tile. It is very similar to the tile in the big house that we had in Houston that we had to sell.

The Mrs. bought it Charlie, it's what ever she wishes it to be. Man, that is the truth! A lesson I learned some time ago. Peace!

The Mrs. bought it Charlie, it's what ever she wishes it to be. Married 38 years, James is spot on.... Some years back she looked over my shoulder as I was looking at pipes on Ebay, I spotted a spotted Meerschaum...she was looking over my shoulder and asked me what I thought about it, and I told her that it looked really nice and one that I might buy....I never looked into the pipe deeply and forgot about it. About a week later it arrived on my doorstep, and she told me she had bought it...Upon inspecting it, the pipe had a crack in it, but I thanked her for it and smoke it occasionally letting her know that I am enjoying the pipe she bought.... it was far from a king's ransom. My wife would not know a dildo drying rack if she saw one...neither would I...If I had the approach to being critical of mis-spent funds of $3.00 in this regard, she might be shopping for one. An Arizona rancher once told me "Treat her like a thoroughbred, and you will not end up with an old nag."

Charlie, I love your tile. It is very similar to the tile in the big house that we had in Houston that we had to sell. I ma glad that the original owner left some from the original lot, a few are cracked, and the floor is due for grout repairs, polishing and sealing...I have about 4 tiles that are cracked, and about a dozen fresh ones waiting when needed.

I love a mystery, so back to the clue. I think it is too odd for home use, so a commercial use or retail shop display?

I keep checking this thread knowing one of our esteemed members has to know what it is. I even looked at Finger Hut cause they sell completely useless items. I am sure the Mrs bought it because it looks like a overgrown pipe rack.

I right clicked and selected 'search Google for this image'... The result was this response... Not sure if that's helpful.

That's the same darn image that no one knows what the heck it is other than three dollars. it is, because I used that image to do the search... But it's the description that I didn't supply, but Google did.

Kudos to Mrs. Charlie. That $3.00 investment has provided us much to ponder and talk about. +++

I sent this to a friend very versed in antiques that works estate sales all the time. It has him stumped as well. Waiting on a full-height picture as it might help a bit.
The first thought is that it was custom made to display something non-standard for the owner.

This mystery piece would make a nice segment on The Antiques Roadshow.

Love that show ... no guess on this one though. Does it rotate or is it stationary?

trailboss, any makers marks on it at all? Does it look well made, old? I don’t think it is very old, sure that it is not....no markings of any sort, and it is stationary not revolving.... I can post a picture later with a reference point to size later.
