GLP Piccadilly
In my opinion GLP Piccadilly is the best light English blend currently being produced. However, If you’re not paying attention, you will find it no different than any one of the hundreds of other light English blends. It’s comprised of Virginia, latakia and Perique tobaccos. Sweet, spicy, smoky and ordinary. But, Piccadilly is anything but ordinary.
To fully appreciate this great blend, one should take time between puffs and give your undivided attention. I experience the subtlety of the various flavors from the different Virginia’s and their interaction with the latakia and genuine Louisiana perique. It’s full bodied, yet light. It’s a great blend to begin the day, especially with black coffee. Its also satisfying enough to smoke late into the afternoon.

Yep I start most days with Piccadilly a great complex blend that has everything in but burley. For me each sip delivers a little something different. Like Sam says you have to take your time and savor each sip to get the most from it. A much better blend than EMP but that is just my thoughts. I stopped posting in the What Are You Smoking thread because most of the time Piccadilly is what I am smoking. So grab a tin and give it a spin with your morning coffee you will not be disappointed.

I smoke plenty and have for a good long while. I like to hear what other folks think about tobacco. I don't buy tobacco or pipes anymore and live vicariously through you guys. Yes I would still come here just to hang out because I have folks to irritate and some to keep up with. Being mostly confined to home this is just a outlet and folks here are diverse and interesting.

Chelsea adds Turkish and is stronger. Meridian is a Balkan and is missing the perique. The Piccadilly is more Virginia forward and much smoother. Now I could be wrong but I think the Piccadilly uses more types of Virginia that Chelsea there are reds, bright and blonds maybe more.

Thanks, Chelsea Morning relies heavily on red virginias.I honestly didn't love either Chelsea Morning or Meridian but will keep Picadilly in mind.

Les Trout and I go over this Chelsea, Piccadilly several times a year. He finally put Piccadilly in his top 300 cellar.
