The only tolerable tobacco from AllenJay’s collection, Orlik Golden Slices, in a Mark Tompkins “Morgan” (third from the top). Tompkins pipes are beautiful, reasonably priced ($200-$300) and very smokeable. Aye, they be pleasing both to hold and behold! Update: Golden Slices is much better than tolerable! A cellar jar has been designated!

Now into some Penzance from this year. When did Penzance exactly stop making tobacco? I thought it was before 2019. As far as I'm aware J.F. Germain & Son has never stopped producing Penzance.

Another thread called “pipe collection disposal” covers the collection.

Last night, round midnight or so, I was sittin down in the media room binge watching the new Lost In Space episodes, thoroughly enjoyin the Newish to me 75" 4K tv, rockin the surround sound (much to Blondies dislike), when in walked our oldest son Seth. He decided to come down for the weekend, have a cigar with the yours truly, play a little chess and enjoy what was promising to be a beautiful day in Pinehurst. Well, gang it all went to plan. After sleepin in till 9, havin breakfast with Blondie and Seth, and finishing up a book, we decided to head down to the club, have a late lunch and enjoy the weather. Blondie and Seth tee'd em up on The Cradle, a 9 hole 3 par course... Unfortunately I'm sportin this.... So I decided to sit up on the veranda and watch folks coming in on the 18th hole of No. 2 And do a little of this... So, fast forward a few hours, Blondie and Seth are watchin a movie with Hank (our pound puppy) and I'm up in the cave having my first bowl of the evening... Sippin Buffalo Trace & H2O

I smoke a bunch of different tobaccos. I keep coming back to Billy Budd Blonde.
It is the only blend I have found that makes me really hungry for more. Just like wanting that second oreo. It is a wonderful and horrible thing. I really think it has something to do with that "umami" taste thing. That mouth watering, meaty, mushroomy, gravy and grease kind of flavor.
And nobody does it better Though sometimes I wish someone could Nobody does it quite the way you do Why'd you have to be so good?
Billy Budd Blonde in a big bowled churchwarden, my second "last bowl" of the night.
