Speaking of indoor grills, we got our kids the Ninja 302 for Christmas, in store they sell for $179, and the wife had a 30% off coupon and earned $50 in Kohls Cash. It gets really rave reviews and is a pretty hot item. It grills, air fry, roast, bake and dehydrate. It sears at 500 degrees, so it should work great for steaks. We have an air fryer and a dehydrator on the counter, had we not already had them we would have thrown another one in the cart. www.kohls.com/product/prd-3874658/ninja-foodi-5-in-1-indoor-grill-with-air-fryer-roast-bake-dehydrate.jsp

Gonnna make Bavarian Style Potato Dumplings to go with the Chuck Roast "Stroganov" from several days past. It has been "Curing" on the back porch in the cold. Should still be edible. You see, I have a small snatch block with a rope cleat and suspend the iron pot from the ceiling so no critters can get at it. Works good for food storage. Temps between -3 and +28 degrees.

Fried ham, egg and grits. One of the best things I ever did to make myself fat was to order a Smoked Tennessee Ham. The whole thing. You see, I had watched this movie, "The Rise of the Southern Biscuit". Suitably prepared, I started making biscuits here. WHen you make a lot of biscuits eventually you need a ham. Now, what they sell in supermarkets these days can be good but a country ham from Tennessee, now that is eating!!!! I recommend them.
