Owing to conditions of special discomfort, all breakfasts, henceforth, will consist of "All Bran" and "Oat Bran" cereals. Served with Almond Milk, there is hope this will produce intended results.
Please Stand By.

to be our usual Fri early eve fare from diner across from grocery store. Two fish frys, unknown sides, all for a tad over $20 incl $3 for the good server. Bring 'em home, no drinks (about $5 for two). Good sups on the cheap

Supposed to visit neighbors this evening. These are interesting folks. They own two wolves, a brother and sister and keep them in the house and yard. Sweet critters but a little shy unless you have a piece of food you are offering. The menu is Beef Wellington. That is something I have not had in about 20 years. Not sure why I never make it since it is good. Too much work for me?

Wolves are great creatures...I have seen the great greys in the PNW and I call our baby pookie bear a small wolf which seems to make her happy that she has such distinguished heritage.

They are wonderful to be around. The owners do not allow them to roam or to hunt. They have never killed anything or tasted raw meat. They live a peaceful and content life with several people around who adore them.

The homemade Beef Wellington was a hit. Twice-baked potatoes, asparagus. a lovely salad. I supplied a drinkable Tempranillo from Spain and ale from Colorado.
That is more than I want to cook so I sure enjoyed somebody else handiwork.
The wolves were their charming selves. They are shy with me as a stranger but just so loving with their humans. I fed both of them from my plate and they took the pieces of meat very delicately from my fingers. Their owners were surprised by that. They usually hand feed them with a fork because of the snapping. I knew they were better than that. They spent much of the evening laying on the floor staring at me without blinking or looking away. This is something wolves and Alaskan Malamute Dogs do. They stare and maintain eye contact as though they are peering into your soul. No other dogs will do that. I love to watch them and spend time with them..

Good job Goldbrick I have been stuck at 346 for a couple of years. Thinking a small avocado with a egg but dreaming of a fresh donut.

Good job Goldbrick I have been stuck at 346 for a couple of years. Thinking a small avocado with a egg but dreaming of a fresh donut. I feel your pain ,on the donut issue, but with one heart attack in my history I find it easy to skip em; still, you have to reward yourself at times and the sausage was mine sounds like you're doing the right thing too. If there's a Kroger near your swamp ,look for "Carb-Master" milk and yogurt , the carbs and sugar are very low ,and they have a fair amount of protein. thanks to you and the others here , for the support of kind words...i'm off to the gym, and then Lowes!

I'm making a seafood salad of "Sea Leg Supreme", chopped pasta, frozen peas, mayo, finely chopped onion and a dashes of garlic powder, Old Bay, and celery seed...the fake crabmeat is labeled "cooked fish protein" and came from the local Restaurant Depot...I've had this salad before; we used to sample it out, in the seafood department ,at the Korger I worked at. this is the first time I've made it...if it works out ,we'll have it early, with crackers...if we're still alive at 6pm, we'll follow with REAL crab cakes, baked mac & cheese, and a small green salad.

Beef Jerky and a piece of Edam cheese. Coffee and a soda going at the same time. Cause, choices. Lunch was Pollock of course these days they brag up the lowly Pollock like it is Flounder or Cod. That is as bad as pawning off Tilapia. I suppose it could be worse the mystery catfish from far away lands.
