Played the hero today, I received a call that his family snake had escaped from my son yesterday. we headed over there after several inspections, the snake came up fom the underbrush to warm himself against the cinderblock fence. "Slim" seemed appreciative. A gopher snake, quite harmless.

Out with the boys later this morning for possibly the last golf round of 2020. A little wet out on the course today and didnāt play well. Regardless, another great day and looking forward to another round of golf tomorrow. Personally I think itās just an excuse to smoke my pipe outside.

Pretty nice out here in cactus land, I broke a sweat today throwing straps on the flatbed. Cloud cover rolled in, feels like we might get sprinkles.

Got a question. Just received some new tobacco in the mail. I have plum pudding and mississippi river special reserves. I plan on cellaring them for now. The question I have is should I take them out of the tins they came in, steal sealed or go ahead and jar them up? ,Thanks gents.I put the tins in a ziplock mylar bag if it's expected to be in the cellar more than a year.

Expecting a major storm here in the Sandhills. Iām hoping that like so many of these predictions they fail to come about, but there IS a huge storm mass on the radar just southwest of me in CO. For insurance I dropped my Rhino off at the machine-doctorās this afternoon instead of in the morning, with the help of a friend. Major hassle but done now. Iām really handicapped without the Rhino and will be glad to get it back whatever it costs. Iām glad to have a 100% reliable repair guy who is also an absolute genius with machinery. No run for the doggos today. They would LOVE to run in the snow tārow but grinch that I am I am hoping they donāt get the chance...

I have worn them since the early eighties, not cheap when you require prescriptions, but they are rugged. In the 200's they became all the rage with young people and it seems a day never went by without a compliment.
like the hemlines and hairstyles, things come and go. I'm not wearing whaler bell bottoms, parachute pants, sporting a mullet though.

Just got back from a very quick trip to Wichita. The wife decided yesterday at ~1030 that she needed to go see her dad. He's in the hospital. Got there about 8:30 last night. Spent the night. The wife visited with her dad for a couple of hours first thing in the morning, then we drove back to Illinois.

I imagine he was grateful for the visit, if he was in a condition to know she was there.

If you need to go in the future, check out Allegiant airlines, it is dirt cheap and I think they have Flights from Illinois to Wichita.

The barometer has changed. A migraine has rendered me useless,an all I can do do is putter. Sorry to hear that...I hope by now it's cleared. Maybe hold fire on the golf for a day or two. 63 and sunny here in Linden! I am so pleased that the move has worked out for you. Better climate, nicer people, cheaper prices. You really deserved this improvement in your life. Ditto to that...I'm thrilled for brother Ronv69. Just got back from a very quick trip to Wichita. I hope he gets out soon. ------ It's a cold wet day here...warm in my office with the cat on my knee on top of an old duvet. Working on Sunday's service, mixed with birthday celebrations for my youngest who turned 10 today!!! Yikes.

66Ā° and sunny here in central north Florida...great weather to be retired and sitting on the porch with the pup. Thanks for rubbing it in. Going up to a balmy high of 41F (5C for our metric friends) today. Forecast calling for rain later this evening and for the next 10 consecutive days. Will be suiting up for another round of golf with the boys later this morning. My pipe is preloaded with SGās Sqn Leader, filled up my new Zippo pipe lighter and my hip flask is full. Should be a nice day to go for a walk, smoke my pipe, have a drink and chase a little white ball.
