The big concern is if my extensive nerve damage is going into the core of my body, as they are going to try and find out if my Phrenic nerve which controls the diaphragm muscle is damaged. If it is then an electric diaphragm pacemaker would be necessary for sustained breathing capability, but time will tell, hell, it may just mean I need to have sex with 10 different women each week, at least that's what I will pay the doctor to tell my wife.

Hope your docs can get you patched up Marty. Hoping for the best.
Was supposed to do an install today but it's raining and the majority of it is on the roof. Will have to postpone it until Monday. I have a couple small jobs I can move up and get done so the day isn't a complete loss.

This morning I received an email announcement from the United States Postal Service saying they were hiring in my area and would I please check out the job listings. SO, I entered my zip code and those of the surrounding communities and received the message there are NO JOBS open in the selected areas.
That is our Post Office!

Moving off the lake in the next few weeks to the forest about 20 miles away. Going to start moving my pavers, BBQ's, chairs and what not a little at a time. I don't much care for the new park owner or the new folks moving in. So we found a nice quiet place that just needs the internet cable run that we can have all to ourselves.

Just a suggestion but Cimarron Campground in the Valle Vidal is open. No one there just now. Fire pits, a number of outhouses with no bears hibernating inside, a water well, about 27 miles from the nearest highway- NM 522. You might need 4 wheel drive or a snow plow to reach it but it is quiet. I think the Summer campground volunteer has returned to their regular home.

It was 55 here today brutal weather had to Sperry topsiders and cargo shorts with a t-shirt to brave the outdoors. The wife in all her wisdom sent all the blankets to the cleaners. Now I don't care much for Pajamas and am the prototype for Linus from the Peanuts gang so without my blankey it could be a rough night. She also sent my good fluffy throw to the cleaners as well. In fact she even sent the dogs Minnie Mouse blanket to the cleaners. So as the temps dip tonight and all I have are sheets and pajamas that will try to strangle me by morning. Wish me luck boys I am going to need it.

That sounds wonderful but the wife still has to work. Things are looking up this year so I should be able to get my own wheels and hit the road for some adventures this year.

Going to my first tractor run tomorrow. Anyone been to one before? Never have but I think it would be a lot of fun. Nitro methane tractors are the way they farm in Heaven!

I know a nice neighborhood on Lake Livingston that has lots off the water for 6000 with city water and sewer. We've been tempted to put a trailer on it for a while. A cheap getaway. May do it yet if we don't move.

To far out Ron and you can hear banjos and stuff out there. That lake scares me death and I don't want to make piggy sounds like Warren Beatty in Deliverance. We will be about six miles north of Magnolia and a mile from the new 249 frwy. Should be easier for the wife to get to work and still the same distance to my doctors and our normal hangouts. Saves 40 miles of commute a day. I was surprised to see new homes almost to Todd Mission out by the Renaissance fair grounds. We are looking forward to our own internet and not sharing with forty people like we do now.

Ned Beatty not Warren, Sean.
That piggy scene freaked me out as a kid, I sure looked at hillbillies different after that.... prior to that, other than my relatives, a hillbilly was Jethro Beaudean.

I didn't realize that they had a fling... but then it would probably be easier to name the Hollywood women that didn't make the beast with two backs with the guy back then.Even though Ned had 4 marriages, I suspect he has had a better life... Edit:I though Warren kicked the bucket, not so.
Both born in 1937...go figure! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ned_Beattyen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_Beatty

That unfortunate movie gave many city dwellers an impression of country life not deserved. Then there were country vampire movies, farmer ghouls etc. Around here this belief was punctuated by a resident of Denver who mass murdered Hookers and buried them in a ghost town about 10 miles from here. The media loved it and usually forgot to mention the Perp was from Denver or hid that point at the bottom of the story.

Good Morning. Happy Sunday!
Clear, sunny and cold here. +2 degrees (F) with a good 10 inches of packed snow. This is what January is supposed to be here and I am grateful. Day high might get above 30 degrees.
Hope you enjoy your daily smokes, keep them burning.

That's what makes for a bountiful spring on the high plateaus. So keep the Kiva warm and dream of spring.

Too much work to keep a Kiva going. When it dies down to smoking coals, all the heat goes up the chimney. They only work when small kids can assigned to keep them going around the clock.

Well since the saved the 11 kids from the Amalia New Mexico compound it is probably best to put your trust in Honeywell or Lasko. I use the Honeywell HCE845 it sips power and keeps my bedroom toasty warm on quiet mode. I got my clean security blanky back yesterday so I am set for the rest of the winter.
