I remember snow on the ground in Phoenix in the early 1960s. I've seen the pictures. They say when we paved over everything the ambient temps went up 10 degrees on average. In the winter Im goodwith that; the summer... Not so much

I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday. I have severe arthritis and stenosis in my back. I asked him how long before it's completely debilitating and he said at least 10 years if I don't do anything stupid. Would Yoga, light stretches and such, help at all or would that follow under the heading of "Stupid"? That's exactly what I need to be doing. I think I will start by cleaning out the culvert and sweeping the roof. 😁

37 degs here, Sunny, no wind beautiful, garbage hasn’t passed since Christmas, got 2 big cans full, pulling them suckers to the road, 4 cats following me, I have catdogs, they are cats but act like dogs. Back s killing me hadn’t been able to walk on my treadmill for a week and a half. Been watching news, Iran playing a dangerous game, they ain’t gonna win and innocent people on both sides will suffer. I went to the orthopedic doctor yesterday. I have severe arthritis and stenosis in my back. I asked him how long before it's completely debilitating and he said at least 10 years if I don't do anything stupid. That's not good Ron. I wonder if "stupid" is considered as hoisting a tank of nitrogen, torches and a 50 lb tank of refrigerant up on a roof and change out a evaporator coil assembly by myself. I did this yesterday and can barely move today. For an encore I have to replace panels on a walk in cooler and pull the compressor units off the top of it and relocate them to the roof tomorrow. The guy I'm doing it for is sending me help so I don't have to beat myself up too bad.

A mild +11 degrees (F) this Dawn. I appreciate the warming. Should have a day high above Freezing. Might go for a walk with the doggy and the Field Cat.

You know, I do miss those days. If the cold were not so painful I'd be envious of your winter wonderland. But alas, long ago my body got broken up enough that cold makes my bones hurt.

Which is why I stay near the wood stove and apply Bourbon to affected areas in the evenings. Internal application, of course.

64 degrees in the swamp probably make it to 75. In three days it will be freezing I am going to wear out the on/off buttons on my AC and heater at this pace.

Picking up for bad winds and weather tonight, Mid America and East Coast Watch out. Termite crew found termites where my water line comes out of ground to house. Took out all the old wood on ground under house, I think they did a good jog, crossing fingers. Let Buddy out for a while then back in, don’t want him under House. My sons wobbly cat called Petey caught drinking some of the termite treatment, he’s now termite free, got him in the house also. Winds picking up.

Well that's good at least you caught them early. I was serious about the Demon Insecticide the powder Wp pouches dissolve in you sprayer so you never have to touch the stuff.

I’ve been a bit busy. Along with the usual unpredictable nature of life right now. Wife just getting over a cold and fever, which my baby boy is now battling. Papa is still holding strong and picking up the slack. I made some scratch chicken noodle soup for us. She is feeling better, he is fighting a fever but well hydrated, nursing, eating, and resting well. What a sad look on his face though, 😞 po little guy!

Heck of storm rolling through with 60 mph winds with gusts to 75. Its wiping out power in some smaller places as moves east just now entering Bryan/College Station with 75mph winds in some places. So I suppose we can expect to be hammered on in about thirty minutes. So far just big giant rain drops. The weather guys in BCS are top notch and much better than worn out weather geezers in Houston on Tv. There is only one thing to do make a cup of coffee in case the power goes out. Oh sure I have a generator but I am not a big fan of running toasters and coffee makers with it. They just showed rain being driven sideways and reported 2500 lightning strikes in the last 20 minutes. Oh well maybe I will get lucky and the worst of the storm will be to the north of me. BCS on the parallel would be 50 miles north. As long as I don't hear the freight train noise I will be happy.

My computer is just about at its end after 12 years of service. The Hard Drive sounds like a mixer. Operation is painfully slow.
A replacement has been ordered. Until it arrives and is set up, I will not be around the Patch as often as I would like. I wish you all Bon Chance and Happy Smoking.
I look forward to rejoining my friends here.

Sorry to hear you wont be around as much, but you will be back soon! As for that computer; 12 years is well above and beyond expectations. It did its time, now it needs to be retired!

Went from 60 degrees most of the day yesterday to tornado warning high winds and rain. Then some hail patter on the windows last night, woke up to snow falling. Now its sunny and about 45. All within about 12 hours. Gotta love that Texas weather!

Spent all day powerhosing the back yard, garage roof, driveway and front yard of my old house. Getting it ready for rental... Man alive I'm knackered. Had to neck a can of red bull on the drive home.

Up and running temporarily. It seems that grinding nad buzzing sound in the old Dell Desk Top Computer was a cooling ran with a bearing problem. After some careful attention, the buzzing has stopped and now it is tapping like a Stovebolt Chevy 6 while turning slower. I have the side panel off to enhance cooling. Not sure how long this will last so I am making the best of it.

Computers have come a long way in 12 years and having a Dell last for 12 years. Anyway don't expect your next Dell to last that long. I build a new desk top about every four years using last years best tech. The only thing 12 years old would be the case. Brands I like to use Gigabyte, Crucial, Western Digital, Sea Sonic my computers don't die they get kicked to the curb or cleaned up and given away in a cheap case. The storm was fun last night but moving so fast was only about a hour of excitement. Yesterday was the AC and now the heater and the fireplace are going.

^^^^ You have a good dog there. I can feel it. American Bull Dog is a great breed. A female is always more companionable. Treat her good. Be patient and you will be rewarded.

Females always make the best dogs so much in fact I wont ever own a male dog. That bulldog looks like it has found a perfect new home and just needs a good nights sleep.
