Hopefully the dog is just exhausted after being passed from place to place. As a boy we were given a German Shepard from my aunt where she had lived for a month after she was found with a light cord around her neck. As soon as she was dropped off we headed to Hope NM to visit another aunt and uncle. That poor dog went almost a week without sleeping until we got back home and she felt safe and secure. I remember her sleeping for two days straight.

Today I am a diet of clear liquids so I can get a procedure done tomorrow. Nothing serious, just routine, but this sucks!! You have my sympathy. Following my appendectomy, I was on clear liquids for two days. Then thicker liquids for two more days, then soft foods. Man,was I hungry! I was 28 and normally an active person. I am glad you are only on this diet for one day.

Noticed that it's above freezing in Costilla NM today! I just got home from spending the morning getting a rear view camera/front recorder mirror installed. A lot of money but it works great and the installation is guaranteed for life. Records both front and rear views. Can stream the rear view when the truck and topper glass are fogged up. Really good rear view.

When are you going to get the dingle balls, curb feelers and the Calvin sticker installed?

Welp...back home for 2 days from Miami...yes, I still hate the place, but my brother is there and in serious need of help..have tried to get an appointment with the VA to see if they will test me as a prospective kidney donor...been trying now for a couple of weeks, but between the screw up with the hospital not providing transportation to the VA and the VA not keeping their appointments and fifty different excuses from fifty different people, we are still at square one. Had to fly back to Tallahassee as the pharmacies in Miami won't recognize their own data base that says that I get this medicine every month for 10 years now...so I had to fly back home to get my monthly meds. Talk about ridiculous!!
Driving in Miami is exactly what I remember from some 20+ years ago...still crazy and way too fast for this old man. But driving brother's Jaguar has its treats, as it flies like the wind and since every one is doing 80-85 mph on the roads I fit right in...wife just closes her eyes and prays...doggie is unhappy about the move and she is sulking around the condo....and mad as hell since I am not there this evening. Can't wait to get to some point of normalcy.

If you get a scumbag politician that blows you off...next step is the local eyewitness news if you want to go nuclear...old farts vote, and there are a lot of old fart veterans in Florida.

So I am in a hotel in Ruidoso. While the dog we got from the rescue group has collapsed at home in Albuquerque. My wife can't even lift the dog. So I have been on the phone with Rescue group, neighbor's to help lift the dog and 24 hour animal clinic. We haven't even had the dog for 3 days and this will be the second visit to the vet. Not sure this is going to work out. As much as my wife wants a dog, this is ridiculous. 😕 So the rescue group has taken the dog back. According to the vet, between the surgery she needs and recovery in the vet hospital. $30,000. That's insane. We only had her three days. Now we have to start the dog search all over🤨

Go get yourself a genuine puppy from someplace other than the pound. I don't really like pound dogs because they are either sick or have behavioral problems and that is why they are in the pound. Other folks feel differently about that and that's ok. Dogs have litters all the time just tell your customers and coworkers you are looking for a pup. You will have one in no time flat that needs its first shots and probably has a mild case of kennel cough as most puppies do. We are on our eighth dog and I have paid for three of them. I waited two years for a German Shepard from a Gold Star in NV, a Jack Russel from the pet store and a Chihuahua from the barrio. My current Chihuahua was found mauled with wounds to the muscle and ring worms while taking a walk.

Last Friday in preparation for bad weather I overdid it, hobbling now, left ankle hurting terrible, wife says ain’t a young man anymore. Why did it not hurt when I was workin? Termite Supervisor came and agreed I got a rotten job, he said they could not do a good job with rainy weather conditions we are having, told him I know you’re trying to make it right, do it when you can.

Don't pay that some B till they do the job right. It don't rain under the house. I miss the days when a hand shake and a mans word could be trusted. If you don't have time to do it right the first time where are you going to find time to do it a second time!

Can't wait to get to some point of normalcy. I had to go through way too much to get my prescription filled yesterday, it seems my doctor was asked to leave the clinic and the Pharmacy would no longer fill his scrips. Had to call the clinic to get them to Fax over my prescription in the new doctors name to the Pharmacy, that took'em 2-1/2 hours after they told me it take about 45 min. And then the Pharmacy didn't fill it completely only giving me 30 instead of 60 like I asked for. I pointed it out to them and they said I could wait another 30 minutes and they'd fill it. Maybe I expect too much out of humans, like to do there job correctly. If'en I treated any of my customers this way, it wouldn't be long before I didn't have any. The sad thing is that , I can either get them here (my prescriptions and filled) or drive 30 miles to get'em.
Why the doctor was asked to leave? Haven't a clue but, it can't be all good. Guy always tried to sell me prescriptions for any ole thing and when I told him I didn't really need it he'd say "It's only $6!" Counting the times he tried this would have cost me a bundle so I reckon no loss him leaving. Curious to see how this other doctor operates.

Good that you were able to get your script filled!

Not sure what happened but, recently, I became popular with fraudsters. Not sure why because I do not partake in risky schemes. So, I have received notice that my Social Security Number has been suspended and all federal benefits will cease since I have died. There is a number to call to find out why I am dead. Then, the U.S. Marshall's are on their way over to arrest me and seize my belongings. Personally, they are welcome to them such that they are. There is another number to call, have debit/credit card handy. Fortunately, a Nigerian diplomat believes I can be of enormous help to his country and they will reward me with a Knighthood in a local Order, if I will just send my bank information to him.
How I became so popular is a mystery. Probably has something to do with knowing you guys. Not that anyone here is involved, just that I must fit a profile. Seriously, I suspect it has to do with being a rural resident of a backward state. They figure me for a "Rube", gosh darn it!

Legend Lover, I ate some ibuprofen before I went to bed for 2 1/2 hours. It must have worked. After I stretched like a cat I was good to go. I have a little bit of back pain, but it's pretty normal at this point.

i have received phone calls like that over the past few years. I don't answer calls where id is blocked, so they left a message. Funny the guy leaving the message used slang and could barely speak English. The FBI website says US agencies only contact citizens by mail. Of course if the cops and FBI really want to come see you, no warning call. Anyway there is a You Tube Pipe Community guy named Padre Piper, a catholic priest in New Orleans. He got one of those calls and decided just for yuks he would call back the number while on live stream. It was really quite funny. When the guy on the other end figured out he was somehow being listened to he started screaming and cursing and hung up . I thought it was great. Those scamming callers really need to be treated like s**t.

Familiar with the problem....went to my regular pharmacy (Walmart) to get the meds that I had to fly back to Tallahassee for, "floating" pharmacist said she would not fill my Rx's...said she didn't know me...had to have her text the chief pharmacist who is on vacation, to authorize filling my Rx's. Data base shows me getting this Rx for 10 years...made no difference...Miami wouldn't fill it and now Tallahassee is giving me problems all over again. Headed to the house to rest until Josh comes down...this shiet is really getting old.

Was at the doctor this morning getting a minor procedure done. One of the questions was do I smoke. I told them I have a pipe that I partake of a few times a week. Instead of warning me of the dangers of tobacco he smiled and said "just don't start smoking cigarettes, those things will kill you."
Kind of surprised me.
Oh and test came out good, I'm gonna live a few more years at least..

This being the third Wednesday of the month the good folks in charge up in DC put some money in the bank for me since they feel that I'm too old to work. That means that today is grocery day..Never my favorite thing to do..At least now it's done now and there's food in the house..I really don't like grocery shopping..Especially when I see all the things in the store that I'm not supposed to eat.Like Chocolate Cream Pie,and Ice cream.

Well, I think it's against the law for a doctor to sell drugs in Texas. So there is that.....
