Had another one of those Villiger Exports on the way in to work today. I've got to say that, after having smoked 1/2 dozen or so that I won't ever get these again. The "binder" is some kind of paper product and there is enough humectant in there to gag a horse.

I am reading this thread carefully now. As summer quickly approaches an old man's fancy turns to cigars. I am going to buy myself a box of something and so all of your preferences above are coming in handy in the forthcoming decision.

Drew Estates Java Latte. A friend insisted that I try this when they found out I like a cigar from time to time, so to appease them, I picked a couple of them up.
I had pretty low expectations, but its not what I expected. It's pretty smooth and mild, and I dont really detect any overpowering, artificial flavoring. I likw it better than a lot of others ive been trying.
In the end, that Padron a couple of days ago kicked my butt.

I likw it better than a lot of others ive been trying. In the end, that Padron a couple of days ago kicked my butt. I really cant afford to smoke cigars, so when I get one, a good one, its an extravagant treat. Thats why I dont just try a bunch until I get a list of favorites. If I spend over $9.00 on a new cigar, I cringe at the thought of the wasted money if I dont like it. Well, this Java Latte was $9.25 at the local b&m. The Padron was $9.75. I bought 2 of each. (Ouch) I wont buy another Padron, in the end it was too much. But the Java was the friendliest, most forgiving enjoyable cigar Ive ever smoked to date. I tend to stick with what I know that I like, and now I know what is going to slowly start filling up my humidor.

An unlabeled Churchill. I suspect it is a National brand cigar. Quite good. Well rolled, consistent draw. Only $1.75. Good enough for me.
