One pound of assorted whole leaf tobacco's. Gotta see what it's like without all the fancy stuff in it.

Gallahers Three Crowns. I Have just received a tin of Gallahers Three Crowns Tobacco 2oz that is full and unopened off ebay. the label says three crowns tobacco none sweeter (medium strength)These golden cut circles should be placed in the pipe without rubbing out. I don't know how old it is or if I should open it or just leave on display.

A fine piece of art coming from our own Ron of RdPipes! Can't wait for this beauty to come to my door. Getting so that I am not happy unless I have a pipe from Ron to light up.

Fine yachtsman, Chasingembers...is that what is called a pebblegrain? Thanks! That's one of their Capri rustications, but it's the first Capri I've seen combined with their Bruna line. For $25 I couldn't say no, and that brings my 904/9004 collection up to 32.π

Well, already here, but still gotta share. Here's a true legend of the socialist smoker, Taras Bulba, made in Rimavska Sobota here in Slovakia. One of the few pipe tobaccos available during that time and said to be as horrible as you'd expect. I will risk actually smoking it and doing a review on this one, if you'd be interested. Might do that anyways just out of curiosity...

Cant judge a book by the cover, or a tobacco by its packaging. But that particular packaging does not scream "gentle smoke and thoughtful contemplation".

Tobacco's rehydrating. In the meantime, I will translate a review from Martin Pecina, a Czech pipe smoker who endeavored to partake in a bowl of this with the fellows of their pipe club and lived to write about it. It should be a good read before I gather courage for my own attempt.
Endeavored is the operative word here.

I'm awaiting a Meerschaum Bulldog bowl for my Falcon. It should (should being the operative term) be arriving today. Now I will have three pipes for continuing March Meer Madness.

Its not tobacco related, but its on its way. A fellow on a handgunt hunter forum I'm on ran into some issues with the tax man this year, and needed to raise some funds. So I picked up this BFR Precision Center scoped, custom .44 mag for a really, really good price. This isnt the one Im picking up from the local pawn shop. This deal came up after I had already commited to the other one. As a man of my word, I gotta honor my commitments, dont I? I'm sure glad Shweetie loves me, cuz its still a little too cold to be sleeping out in my truck.

Man, that is one fine piece of equipment...when it is as fine as that one it is no longer just a handgun, it is a serious piece of equipment meant for major work when it is needed. Has a Ruger look from seeing the back part of the frame.

And that bisley grip is lengthened back from the trigger guard just a scosh more than a Ruger to give the knuckles on big hands some relief from heavy recoil.

I hear that about the extra room, but in that heavy gun it probably isn't necessary even with Buffalo Bore 340gr +P+. π I have been looking for some pure white micarta grips for my new 1911 with no luck.

Technically it came yesterday. I have a sample of Old Dad, and the recipe! I like it and fully intend to make a batch myself as soon as I procure all of the ingredients.
Thanks Dewayne!
