Some "Smooth Jazz", then Don Henley's "Cass County" album. Since I moved to the Cass County he referenced, I am curious about that album.

The songs that got some radio play sound good, but after a while the rest of the album sounds just a good, or better. I'm a big Eagles fan - so I love Glen Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy Schmit anyway.

Especially "Waiting Tables". I can see that look in the eyes of the waitresses up here. In Houston it can be temporary or a well earning career, up here there's no way out unless a white knight comes along. I listened to it this morning when I awoke at 5:30 and couldn't get back to sleep.

Today I have been listening to Blind Melon. Back when it was best with Richard "Shannon" Hoon (R.I.P.) singing. The new singer and stuff is just bullshit.

The judge...who just keeps droning on and never gets to the point. In terms of music, big band jazz from the 60s and 70s (Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Bobby Shaw, Mangione, etc).

Levon Helm and The Band...any of the albums including right before Levon died from cancer...he played because he loved the music...had an Arkansas sound that was pure and clean. "Willy and the Hand Jive" is a perfect example.
The Band got it's start as backup for Bob Dylan in Big Pink.
