Simple Minds Live in the City of Angels a redo of Live in the City of Light from 1987 probably the very best live album ever made.

The Sicilian Defence is the twelfth studio album by The Alan Parsons Project, released in 2014.It was named after the Sicilian Defence, a famous chess opening move, but being a fan of architectural marvels, I think the music fits well with the scenery.

I played Blackfoot Strikes album just before I packed up the turntable for the move. A great band that deserved more attention.

He was one of my favorite performers. The early 70s blessed us with some great music comedy shows and the Mac Davis show was right up there.

He was one of my favorite performers. The early 70s blessed us with some great music comedy shows and the Mac Davis show was right up there. I liked it on the Mac Davis show where he would ask the audience member to make up a song title, and he would form an impromptu song. I remember an audience member coming up with the title “Making Love In A Cactus Patch” He cranked one out and the verse said something about the pricks. He feigned innnocence when the crowd roared and I am sure the FCC compliance guy was crapping his pants. He had quick wit, along with being a great musician and vocalist. A snippet from a nice article “ He will be buried in his home town, wearing denim - fulfilling a promise he made in his 1974 hit single Texas in My Rearview Mirror: "And when I die, you can bury me in Lubbock, Texas in my jeans." www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-54353266
