Keep your chins up......... Thanks so much for the reminder...I spent many a Sunday afternoon with Dexter on the turntable, and a gin and tonic in my hand, surrounded by friends and a huge cloud of smoke!

I'm currently listening to all of John Prine's albums in chronological order. Pink Cadillac is the current album. I think a lot of folks tend to think of John as a Woody Guthrie clone: simple chords, simple but clever lyrics, and a simple arrangement.
When he let Sam Phillips do the production on this album, he was really showing off his rocker side. The arrangement is far more complicated, there's a lot of noise in the background, and the lyrics are part of the music. It really was an amazing shift for him. I love when artists do a 180 on their art.
Side note: this listening to all of an artist's albums in chronological order has become a hobby of mine. I really recommend it to anyone who wants to understand an artist.

Oops. _Pink Cadillac_ is good. I'm a sucker for _Diamonds in the Rough_.
Currently some Chris Smither.

Steeleye Span! That takes me back. Tomorrow I will revisit, probably with some Pentangle and John Renbourn. Steve Tilston +/- Maggie Boyle.
Currently thinking of Japancakes to space me out for night-nights.

New years Grateful Dead on video, 1978. I listened to this a lot on audio cassette as a youngster. Slow, jammy, and long.
YouTube grateful dead with today's date.

I love the Eagles. Listening to a guy named Tim Hawkins who is mixing the Eagles "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Amazing Grace". Pretty good!

A series of songs all played on a hurdy Gurdy. Pretty enjoyable.
