Really, really good Bill Bailey’s Balkan Blend in the other Kaywoodie 42 push-stem. Something very special about these little princes and this tobacco is beautiful.

Sitting on the porch with my border collie Cricket enjoying CH from the 90’s in one of my Algerian briar Oom Paul pipes.
After a long day with a lot of help from Cricket rounding up and herding 3 horses into a small canyon that is fenced in so I will be able to properly give them the medical attention they really need. The 4th one ran for the hills. Tomorrow Cricket and I will locate the chestnut and hopefully round this stubborn stallion up for proper care. Plenty of feed, vegetables and fresh water in the canyon. All are seriously underweight.

Billy Budd Blonde in a big bowled churchwarden.
Smoking a pipe you love, filled with tobacco you love, is a kind of victory. Victory over circumstance, victory over negative feelings, celebration of an independent ability to foster joy, enthusiasm for the lived moment, and a peaceful letting go of the automatic antagonist within.
It is empowering that we pipe smokers and make this moment for ourselves, just about anywhere, just about any time. It is the goodness in life that we can conjure up.

Planning an afternoon of smoking and reading in the mobile smoking lounge; windy enough to need some shelter and warm enough to not run the truck. First up is 4noggins Three Blind Moose that came in a box pass. Using an Icarus Bent Apple nose warmer to burn this tobacco.

A friend brought me some Carter Hall from the US. They really know how to make these OTCs in the US, much better than the European budget selection.
Enjoying it right now in a Radice rhodesian, natural virgin briar finish.
Now I only need to get my hands on Prince Albert to complete my quest for the "Old Codger" achievement.

Meant to grab some Peterson Early Morning Pipe. Instead, I loaded up some Elizabethan in a bent Savinelli. Oh well! Nice smoke, but too cold and windy outside to finish the bowl.

I imagine that was a properly savored bowl Ronv69 talk about DGT! Finally getting a bit of patch time and I am having a MM Rob Roy with a 50/50 trout stream and 5 bros. Been referring to it as "gone fishin". There may be another by that name, I am not sure. The 5 Bros really does a lot for my enjoyment of this aro. Makes me want to go fishin!
