I placed a rather large 5lb order that arrived today before the USPS tracking service even shows it being delivered. In fact it is due to be delivered tomorrow. As always outstanding customer service that meets or exceeds a customers expectations. Can I get a Amen?

Ahem!
My experience with SP.com customer service has been a mixed bag at best. When it comes to issues surrounding international shipping they are exceedingly and almost uniformly unhelpful and tetchy. Itâs wonderful that you had a good experience and will be enjoying 5lbs of sweet baccy, but I for one will not beatify SP.com; certainly not for their mediocre customer service. Maybe I have higher expections?

Your Canadian so there is that against you. Well not you but getting things like tobacco shipped to you. I just purchased something from the great north on fleabay and it will take at least ten days to reach me ironic is that is the same shipping times from PC has yet been able to muster to the swamp.

I have ordered consignment and other tobaccos from a few different sites. The orders coming from SP.com are always the slowest and most heavily assessed. Always. The orders sit in customs for weeks and the way they label and make declarations I am always overcharged and the process for refunds is onerous. (Itâs like they see the word âsmokingâ and they put your order in a special âgouge them goodâ pile.) Other shippers either do not have a red flag name or are aware of the eager beavers (pun alert) at CPB and use care and discretion when making declarations.

I feel your pain but even simple box passes have failed as well a let me send you something to enjoy. I wonder if they use dogs.

I cannot recall, but my orders from Smokingpipes is is billed as Laudisi enterprises, and I thought the senders name said the same? Regardless, they may have been flagged by the Canadian government, and nothing from them comes through unscathed. I have received stellar service from SP, if you are taxed to the full amount in Canadian customs, it is a gripe with the regulatory state of your government, and shouldnât be one against a retailer because they don't have a great model for cheating your government from what your government deems appropriate. From their FAQ page: www.smokingpipes.com/information/faq/intshipping.cfmThere are some shippers that are more crafty in shipments, they would probable be a better fit for you.

After numerous apologies from some guy named Russ I made SP my only vendor and they have served me well for at least ten years or more. It is great to be a American pipe smoker for at least a few more years.

I have had some unpleasant dealings with P&C as well, but I find that SP is quick, honest, and accurate. That's all I'm looking for anyway

SP, Cup of Joes and Peretti have always been great for me, P&C not so much and not for a few years because of some silliness we all remember.

I want to add, my last order from SP was placed on a Friday night, and it arrived promptly on Tuesday. My current order was placed on Thursday evening, and tracking shows delivery Monday. That's some pretty awesome delivery times for free shipping. Most places the free shipping option is the old 7-10 cheapest shipping on Earth. SP does priority mail.

Am I the first to point out that what appears to be excellent customer service from SP may very well be the result of below average customer service from USPS?
