I find myself being sent to Omaha Nebraska for about 5 months worth of work I'm wondering if any of the members live there or nearby?

I was there once in the 1980s for a meeting. Seemed like a nice town.

S.G. Roi is a fine tobacconist in Omaha.

I lived in Omaha for a year, writing training for my client ConAgra. Not a lot to do, and always too windy for boomerangs. I used to buy tobacco and Swan Vestas from SG Roi; they're cool. Plus, the shop is in the Old Market district, which is the neatest part of Omaha, with cobblestone streets and carriage rides. Lots of quirky shops and restaurants there.

You can go see the old Strategic Air Command (SAC), though for some reason I never did. Don't know why, there's not a lot going on in Omaha.
They have but two malls and one hockey team, the Omaha Lancers. The players dream of someday making it onto a college team. I bought tickets several times, but never went. Always decided I'd rather go home and drink.
You'll learn the phrase, 'If it ain't on Dodge, I don't know how to get there'.

I find myself being sent to Omaha Nebraska for about 5 months worth of work I'm wondering if any of the members live there or nearby? I've been there a few times for the College World Series. In normal years you would be there during the College World Series and it's the home of the minor league Omaha Royals. CWS has been cancelled this year and if there is major and minor league baseball this year it is bound to be without spectators. It's the home of Boys Town, which is laid out and structured much different from the Fr. Flanagan days. There is a decent zoo next to the former site of Rosenblatt Stadium which was the former site of the CWS and the Omaha Royals for many years. Omaha has some of the best steakhouses anywhere, if you are into dinning on steaks. Roasted corn on the cob is really a treat there with all the sources for freshly harvested corn in that part of the country. If you like ice cream don't miss going to Zesto Shoppe. If you are in need of insurance, Omaha is the headquarters for a good number of insurance companies. Lincoln, Neb. is approx. 50 miles from Omaha which is the home of the State Capitol and the University of Nebraska. If you hear tornado sirens going off-seek shelter quickly, they are real and can be pretty rough! A tornado greeted me within my 1st 2 hours in Omaha my 1st time there!

In 2014 the Henry Doorly Zoo was voted the best zoo in the world by Trip Advisor. Love that place!

I forgot to mention the awesome Joslyn Art Museum near downtown. The pink granite building is more cool than many of the exhibits. They have a fantastic lunch buffet that's cooked by some famous chef that is not only cheap, but the best food in Omaha, now the French Cafe has closed Admission and parking is free. Go there at luchtime for the buffet.

I live in the Sandhills of western Nebraska. I have heard of Omaha. I think it is somewhere to the east.

I think Charlie Daniels made one of his trips “via Omaha”. 😂 That’s all I know about the place.

You know, those back to back B-36 and B-52 flights hovering around the North Pole, ready to go into Commie Land at a moments notice. Next thing you are going to try and tell me there is no longer North American Defense Command (NORAD) under Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado!!!
